What a great guy! I called to get a competitive quote on replacing a compressor on a Kenmore refrigerator, and Rob quoted a price that - while less costly than others, was still close to what it would cost to replace the refrigerator. I thanked him, but before we hung up, he told me that I should check to see if the compressor was covered under warranty. As I wasn't the original purchaser, and it was ~9 years old, I thought there was no chance. I called anyway. Low and behold - since I knew the original owner's name, Sears was able to look it up and they are covering it! Had Rob not been so unselfish, I would have never known to call and investigate the matter further and would have had to buy a new refrigerator. Next time I need any appliance repair, THIS is the guy I'm calling! Thank you!

Saturday night 6.14.19 Annoying Loud Banging-Clanging was coming from our Samsung refrigerator, which stopped when the door was opened. We weren’t sure if the noise was caused by ice in the fan. Of course, these things happen on weekends and we had to be inconvenienced the rest of the weekend with the horrible noise. We called Rob of General Appliance Service on Monday 6.17.2019 at 10am. I had read the wonderful reviews posted by other customers. I spoke to Rob directly and he said he was totally booked but would squeeze us in sometime between 12-2. Miraculously, Rob came within 1 1/2 hours after I called! He knew exactly what to do to fix the noise. He had in his truck a ‘kit’ that Samsung developed after they got many complaints on our model. It took him an hour to install the special ‘kit’ to fix many common issues on this model refrigerator for $258. Rob was an Incredible worker with values we hadn’t seen in years: honest, meticulous, caring, accommodating, reliable, fast and reasonable. He even cleaned the refrigerator shelves and put them back in the proper position. Cleaned up after himself too. To top it off, at the end of the visit I asked him if he could do us a favor and screw in the base plate of Bosch Dishwasher left hanging and falling over by our floor installer several years ago. It took him 1 minute but he took the time to secure the plate for us! I would say this is above and beyond the ordinary appliance repairman. An extraordinary job! Thank you Rob. You’re the BEST!

Rob runs a great business. He's honest, knows his stuff and tries to give you the best deal possible. He was supposed to show up between 10-12 to fix my ice maker and just before 12 he called to apologize that he was running late and would be here shortly. Who does that these days? Highly recommend.

My dishwasher broke and I was in a complete panic because I was having a dinner party the next day. I looked up repair services and found General Appliance Repair. They answered the phone friendly and professional and had a tech available right away. He showed up on time and was able to tell me right away what was wrong with it.He ordered the part and came back the next day and fixed my dishwasher with plenty of time before my dinner party.
