Had an extraction with bone graft. I'm an uptight anxious mess, but his Assistant who is PHENOMENAL knew exactly how to calm me(talk about cats). Also Dr. Mize is calming too. I was surprised that the procedure didn't take long at all!!! They are really awesome and caring.

I started going to Sunset for periodontal work when Dr. Newton owned and operated the clinic. I’m pleased that the transition to Dr. Mize has been smooth and the dental service is still of the highest caliber. Dr. Mize and his staff have a professional and personal interest in me as their patient.

I highly recommend this practice. HOWEVER, do be aware that the practice has a methodology to request a review, and the patient is asked to post a review if their experience is positive, BUT to contact the practice directly if it is negative. So, reviews are solicited. This means that negative reviews are not likely to appear, and this means the review may be badly skewed towards the positive. So, although I give them 5 stars, take these reviews with a couple of tablespoons of salt!

Dr Mize and the staff are pros . They treat their patients the way they would want to be treated , which is the highest compliment you can pay a professional. They are punctual and diligent . You do not watse your time in their waiting room, because they are efficient in scheduling. very patient-friendly experience.

"We don't give up on people." It was so reassuring to hear these words, as I have a lot of difficulty at dental appointments because of my pronounced gag reflex. After a successful gum graft in July, I returned yesterday for a cleaning. Their excellent hygienist was patient and caring in her approach and was able to clean more of my teeth than anyone else in several years. Dr. Mize and his wonderful staff deserve five stars for their fantastic level of care.
