Dark theme has white text on white background in text field for messages. I can't see what I'm typing. How can I fix this?

The only available theme is eye-scorching white. Absolutely unusable at night or evenings. Even with screen brightness set to minimum it's still agony to look at it in a dark room.

When I open the app in my start menu, it asks if I want to download the new version ( 2.0.9). I click yes and it just refreshes the page over and over again and there is no indication that the download worked or where it is so the app doesn't even work at all!!!:(:(:(
