BETR Health is a life style encourager. Yes, it is a diet plan, but more than that it teaches you the good foods and bad that affect our bodies everyday.
I started BETR 5 weeks ago. I have lost 18 pounds. I feel soooo much better. My joints are healthy. I have more energy. I just feel great.
I am starting Level 2 in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to incorporate exercise and strengthen this 55 yr. old body.

This program has been absolutely amazing for me. I was struggling with losing weight. I have a thyroid condition and my diet is very important, but every time I would try to stick to a program, I wouldn't follow through. I was often tired, sluggish, not sleeping well and I knew I needed to make a change. My doctor recommended that I talk to someone from Betr and get some information to see if it was something I thought I could do. I spoke with Coach Amy and we connected right away! She was patient and answered all of my many questions. We talked about food and the trouble I was having with it. Amy talked a lot with me about how what we eat effects us and how this program would help me to look at food differently. I definitely understood what she was saying and knew it was time to make a change. My husband and I decided to take this journey together and it has been time and money well spent. It has been almost 7 weeks since we started. I am down 17 pounds and my husband is around 24 pounds down. We learned to take one day at a time and even though we aren't always perfect we are "Betr". The benefits to clean eating have been countless for us: my skin looks smooth and clear, we are sleeping better and waking rested, we have more energy (no need for naps during the day), a better understanding of what should be happening in your body when you eat the proper things, increased awareness of what is in the food we eat, my husband no longer uses his CPAP machine to sleep, he does not experience headaches like he was frequently plagued with before, my workouts have become much more enjoyable with all the toxins out of my system, our kids are eating better and are more aware of the food choices they make. I could go on because so much has happened in the last 7 weeks and we have Coach Amy and Dr. Ferro to thank. My husband and I have had each other to lean on and to recognize our many victories along the way. This is definitely a lifestyle and it is one that we will always strive to maintain. Thank you again Dr. Ferro and your team at Betr. You have made such a difference in my life and the life of everyone in our family.

The Betr program has been a wonderful break-through. It does take some learning, some organization (making sure you have your fridge stocked with the right foods), and some time in the kitchen preparing healthy, organic food. However, Betr has provided some easy, yummy recipes that make it not too hard to prepare healthy food that tastes good. If you can do the work in the kitchen and follow the program, the results come so fast and so consistently, that it seems like a miracle.
I have internalized the fact that weight loss happens more in the kitchen than in the gym. This is a mind-shift for me. I used to run and lift weights moderately, doing one of those kinds of workouts about 5-6 days per week while eating "healthy," or so I thought. At that point, the best I could do was losing 1/2 lb/week. Now that I am older, doing high impact exercise is hard on the joints and won't work for me. How thrilled to see that by following this program, I could literally lose about 1/2 lb per day! I walk for cardio and do calisthenics with my own body weight for strengthening--much easier than what I used to do... and the results are happening more readily! The time spent on food prep is so worth it. Also, as you eat healthy food, your system becomes cleansed, and the cravings for junk food really diminish, which makes it easier to make this clean eating a lifestyle change instead of a "diet."

She was friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. If ever a question came up that she wasn't sure of, she would check with nurses who work for Betr and even Dr Ferro himself. I would highly recommend Amy as a coach and this program in general.
