Like so many others, my struggle with weight gain, and inability to lose it, came later in life. I went from not having a weight problem at all to being 32 lbs overweight. It really caught me off guard, as I rarely weighed myself and thought I was doing well with food choices. I couldn't believe it when my doctor said, "You're in the obese category." After our conversation about starting a diet plan (that I knew wouldn't work for me--I hate meal replacement shakes), I knew I had to talk to a friend of mine who had been on a plan that left her looking and feeling great. In addition, she had kept the weight off for a year!
First, I asked if I had to do meal replacement shakes because I knew that wasn't for me. She said absolutely not and began raving about her new way of life--not a diet plan--that she knew would help me. It was Betr (Pure Proactive Health). She went on and on about the organic food as well as her personal coach. I told her to stop. Organic food and a personal coach, that sounded too expensive. She assured me the price was less or comparable to the diet the doctor suggested and certainly more beneficial. I was skeptical, but decided to try it as I'd seen her basically melt before my eyes (not kidding she lost weight fast) and then kept it off.
Okay, (insert a drum roll here)--I've lost the 32 lbs and kept it off (without starving myself and drinking shakes). And I see what she means, this is not a diet. It is healthy living and eating that can positively sustain you for a lifetime.
As a nurse, I see patients struggling everyday with the effects of obesity i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, digestive concerns. I now know there is a remedy that is rooted in healthy eating and living. If you try this "lifestyle," (not diet plan), you will not regret it, for it truly has been a life changing benefit to me.

A friend told me about this program and I decided to give it a try - I'm so glad I did. In 2 months I have lost 18 pounds - I look better, am sleeping better, and consequently I feel pretty great. The eating plan is healthy and not difficult to follow. Key to this is the coaching, and my coaches, Lauren and Valerie, were great. They gave me the support I needed to make it through some challenges I'm sure would have derailed me if I was on my own. Now I am starting Level 3 and I feel confident that I will use the tools they gave me to maintain a much healthier lifestyle. Thank you both!
