I have been getting my haircuts, the Benchmark, from Mel since 2021, and have been one of her regular clients. Mel has been a great stylist for several reasons. 1-Professional - since my first benchmark with her, she has always remembered how I like my hair styled and I have enjoyed the benchmark service she provides. At times with the limitations of the equipment (closed shampoo station, broken shampoo chairs), Mel did not allow those limitations to affect the kind of service she provided. 2-Artist - over the years Mel has been a true artist in her craft. When I want to change my hair style, Mel has been a great listener and she offers creative touches that complement my thoughts or she suggests alternative styles and gives me reasons as to why. 3-“Therapist” and friend - Mel is easy to talk to. Since I’ve seen her she has been a lending ear to what’s troubling me at the time. We share laughs about vacations, music, games, and movies. Mel is amazing. And a few months ago, I updated my visits to see her weekly because I realized that she and the benchmark is a must weekly experience. There was a time, I was traveling that threw my visits off schedule and I wasn’t able to match my schedule with hers for six weeks. Just want to give Charm and Kat a shout out too, who I was lucky enough to be booked with during that time. They didn’t make me feel I was “cheating” on Mel and they provided the same professionalism, fun, and service.
