As a beginning Italian speaker, I was looking forward to attending a month long class in Torino during 2020. With the lockdowns, Chiara offered alternative Zoom classes through her school. I have been taking 2, one hour personal classes per week for a semester with Monica. Monica has concentrated on improving my speaking, comprehension and writing and I am extremely happy with my progress. The hour is enjoyable, with Monica and me discussing current events and our interests as well as writing and even doing some tests. I have made substantial progress in all aspects of the language this year. My confidence has improved as has my competence. Italian friends and staff in Italian restaurants with whom I have a lot of fun conversing and picking up additional hints and colloquialisms, have been very enthusiastically helping me because I am gaining such a good grounding, vocabulary and ear from my classes. No solo por la calidad de la propuesta académica sino por la calidez del equipo (Chiara, Erica), la preocupación constante por el bienestar del alumno y el interés por ofrecer una experiencia que integre el aprendizaje del idioma con vivencias culturales: paseos, salidas, tours guiados con Vera (¡excelentes!). Los horarios te permiten disfrutar de la maravillosa Torino y la variedad de actividades para hacer y lugares para conocer (museos, restaurantes, bares, exposiciones). Gjithashtu jane dhe shume te hapur per te sugjeruar gjithcka per te cilen mund ti pyesesh, qe nga gjerat me te thjeshta se ku te besh pazar e der te drejtimi ne ceshtje pak me te nderlikuara. Ne baze te eksperiences time, them me plot bindjen se nuk do mund te kisha gjetur kurre shkolle me te mire per te mesuar italishten ne nje kohe rekord. 学校の規模は小～中規模で、とてもアットホームで信頼出来る語学学校です！立地も良いです。駅からもある程度近く、尚且つ治安はすごく良い所にあるため、日本人でも安心出来ました。 扉を開けると校長のキアラが出迎えてくれます。彼女はとても優しく、信頼のできる先生です。渡航前から必要書類を迅速に送ってくれるなどサポートが正確で完璧でした。在学中の相談もできる心強い存在です。授業を担当する先生方も経験豊富で、本当に熱心に、徹底的に教えてくれます。なにより少人数制なので、きちんと生徒のことを把握してくれています。 トリノという大きな都市にいながらも、アットホームな空間でしっかりとイタリア語を学ばせてくれる学校です。

There is simply nowhere better to learn Italian. I first studied at the Scuola back in 2008 and returned this year for their intensive online course over lockdown. The combination of fun and professionalism is unique in my experience of language study. The teachers are wonderful, the course programme well-structured and engaging, and as a result a collaborative and fun class dynamic follows every time with an all too deceptive ease. If you want to learn Italian and have a meaningful study experience, this is the place.

Bellissima ed indimenticabile esperienza, atmosfera molto piacevole, le insegnanti amano il loro lavoro e ci insegnano tante cose, sia sulla lingua che sulla cultura italiane. Le attività proposte a parte dei corsi sono molto varie ed emozionanti !

I took an intensive online course on Zoom with the Scuola and enjoyed every second! Our teacher (Carla) did an excellent job at creating as much of a lively, fun "real classroom" experience as possible. I was incredibly impressed by how well the SLdV lays foundations for its students to make lots of progress very quickly. Each of the eight textbooks that I received electronically from the school (Beginners 1-4 and Intermediate 1-4) had been meticulously produced and was clearly a well thought-out path towards good language learning practices (right from numbers and the alphabet, to the dreaded subjunctives!). All of this was rooted in the wealth of culture for which Italy and the Italian language are so well loved - a real treat for those of us who could not be 'in Italia' in times of Corona! An exceptionally good language school and I will not hesitate to choose the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci again in future (though hopefully in Florence and in person next time!!!)
