Philip De Backer
From all the online platforms out there (and there are many) I can honestly say that The Karl Taylor online education platform is one of the best and complete photography courses out there today. The full range of course is amazing, but what really bloos me away is the in depth detail of each course. This course can take a complete novice beginner to a very good advanced amateur photographer in no time. He has a weekly challenge in which you can submit your work, and weekly Karl takes time during a live session to go over each photograph and explain what is good and what is not good. Karl Taylor also takes to time to put together a photograph brief just as a art director would and gives you the student an outline of project which you need to photograph. After one month Karl does a live session where he discusses every picture one by one. The winner ends up getting a very nice price. These briefs really push you to think creatively and solve basis problems regarding composition, lighting, equipment and location. The interaction of Karl and his team with all his members are amazing, I do not have one email or comment on the website that has no been answered. Not a lot of online education platforms can say the same. I have been following Karl for about 6 weeks now, first on YouTube, then I followed his free online courses that he offers on his website and then I became a member and that has been a way better investment than buying a new lens. What’s the point in buying new and better equipment. This will not make you take better pictures, but following the courses on Karls website will. He has a large range of courses available and it’s not just a quick shoot, but an in detail photoshoot. Products, food, fashion, landscape to name a view, but his courses on light and equipment setup are the ones that hit home. Understanding the basics is so important if you are planning on taking photography serious. My advice to people looking at joining Karl Taylor, just do it.. you will not find a better online.
