My life has been transformed by KinKind! I came across them via a FaceBook link, something that I usually treat with a huge pinch of salt. I have been looking for some time for a plastic free alternative for all of the various bottles that stack up in the bathroom. Because I have coloured (as in blue, purple, magenta and turquoise!) hair though, I thought I would be forever tied to the very expensive plastic bottles filled with lotions & potions that purport to be especially for coloured hair. I decided to give the KinKind shampoo and conditioner bars for coloured hair a go and all I can say is “wow!” It really goes against all of your intuition to rub a bar of soap in your hair but just go with it! The shampoo lathers very quickly, even on the first wash and you do not need much to feel like you are giving your hair a proper good clean. I don’t now bother with two washes because the first is so productive. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling so soft and in such good condition that I will go so far as to say this is quite simply the best conditioner I have ever used on my hair. I also bought a bar of the shaving soap, which once again is awesome! It lathers brilliantly and leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft. The only criticism that I have if this bar is that it disappears very quickly. This probably isn’t an issue for the men folk who only do their face but for us ladies who, let’s face it have a large surface area to cover what with legs, underarms and bikini lines, we could do with a much bigger bar to keep us going for a bit longer. In the meantime, whilst I am waiting for a bigger bar I will subscribe to make sure that I always have one waiting in the wings. I travel a lot for work (well I will do once the world gets back to normal!) so KinKind bars will make my toiletry bag a lot less full and heavy. Zero waste, natural products with no harsh chemicals or nasties, superb results….what is not to like?!
