Brisbane - Browns Plains

I am a camping addict and my name is Brad… I thought I would take 5 mins to review the Tentworld Browns Plains store. I have been a customer of tent world for several years now. Over this time, I have made many purchases from this store, including tents, bedding, solar panels, 12v lighting equipment, torches, cooking equipment, tables, a fridge freezer, tarps.. The list goes on. Each time – I have found the staff helpful, friendly and respectful. Even in busy times, I have been acknowledged by staff, and served with reasonable time frame, or at least greeted and had an apology about they wait time while I browsed. The store manager there (sorry I can’t recall his name) is an experienced camper himself, and has always given me helpful advice and personalised service – he has even ordered things in for me several times now and called himself when it was in store. The store is large, well set out, and has several fully set up tents for you to look at down the back. (I bought the Oztrail Villa Dome Anniversary Edition which they have set up down the back – very happy with it, incredibly spacious tent, well made and has stood up to the wind and rain very well – highly rate it if you are after a Taj Mahal sized quality tent). As for another reviewer’s comment - I agree, you might find specific items slightly cheaper online – but as a camping enthusiast, I would MUCH rather have a large dedicated one stop camping store that I can physically go to and see, touch and feel the products and get personalised service advice – and the peace of mind I have somewhere to take things back to if they fail – rather than save a few dollars and risk buying online – often from grey importers without a store front. I also value the level of experience and advice provided by the store manager, over say a multi-chain store which happens to sell some camping gear, which is often staffed by friendly well trained staff, but never camp themselves. If you havnt tried Tent world Browns Plains before – give them a try – you might be pleasantly surprised! Kind regards, Brad.
