I used to go to this office a few years ago and switched dentists due to insurance and job location reasons. But I chipped my tooth a day before leaving on vacation (of course) and my current dentist was out of town, so I called Johnson Dental and they fit me in that day. All the staff were wonderful and friendly, and the dentist was so nice, explained everything to me and had a great sense of humor. I decided to switch back even though it’s a bit out of the way...the friendliness, customer service and great work are definitely worth it. Thanks!!

Great dentists as well as a great environment to help you feel at ease. Plus Peggy the office manager is absolutely amazing and is always there to help you and make your situation filled with love and ease!!!! She keeps me coming back every time!

This is the best dentist I have ever had. I used to be fearful when going in but now I can be relaxed while my teeth are cleaned by friendly professionals. And a plus is that they even care about whether I’m in pain or if my teeth are sensitive they make sure not to trigger it and adjust to my needs! I love this office and wish that I found it sooner. By far the friendliest staff. They really do their best to help and make you feel most comfortable. They are gentle and do whatever they can to make you relax.

Shakari is extremely comfortable to be around. She is careful and takes the time to educate me on how things are looking from the pdevious cleaning to this current one. Thanks Shakari! 4/4/2018 Shakar is the greatest. I going to see her every 3 months because I need it. My pockets are hovering at 4-6mm and she always takes the time to compare and work with me on what is getting better and what needs more work. She takes her time and is considerate. Overall things are getting better. The plan is to get rid of all the 5's and I think we can do it. Ill make another post with my progres. 7/25/18 Ok my pockets and recession has definitely stabilized. I still have a 6 pocket on my left molar but at least it's stable .We used Arrestin. Lets hope the pocket goes down. Anyways . Shakari is amazing as always . I've had atleast 8 hygienists and she's the best

I was terrified to have any work done after a bad experience in the past but Everyone here is kind and very professional. They explained everything in detail and I will come back.

I came to Johnson Family Dentistry because I saw their advertisement in the mail. I went in for a free full x-ray consultation, which included estimates for what I’d need done. The staff here is great, from the front desk to the dental assistants to the hygienist to the dentist. Dr. Wygant works wonders! I’ve been afraid of the dentist since I was a child but he is amazing. I’ve expressed my fear of the dentist to the dental assistant prior to meeting with Dr. Wygant and she was so reassuring. All of the staff are great conversationalists, which helps keep my mind off things. I’ve had prior experiences where I still felt pain while being worked on even after multiple injections at previous dentistries but I’ve never had it happen with Dr. Wygant. The first procedure he’s done on me was a root canal and multiple cavities, which went smoothly. They also offer free nitrous oxide for those who need it. At another visit, I went in for a cavity filling. I was in and out in about 20 minutes, which was extremely impressive! I’m pregnant so Dr. Wygant had to give me a lower dose without epinephrine, which got me worried that I would feel pain during the procedure, but the dental assistant reassured me that I was going to be okay and to simply let us know if I did. It only took one shot and I didn’t feel a thing! I’d recommend Dr. Wygant to anyone who’s looking for a great quality dentist and coming to the Port Hueneme location because the professional staff makes the experience better. I’m going to miss this clinic when I move back home to San Diego, I’d seriously consider coming all the way out here for any big procedures!
