I was so glad that this restaurant opened at the Roosevelt Field mall. I had been to one in Austin, TX before and loved the food. I ate at this newer location and sat outside on a very pleasant afternoon and the service, food and drinks were excellent. The inside is spacious and has a very warm atmosphere. It’s great that this location was able to set up a decent number of socially-distanced tables outside with umbrellas. I’m looking forward to going back!

My second visit... The butternut squash soup with a coconut base is a hug in a bowl, simply amazing... The lasagna bolognese, omg... Layers and layers of flavor, just fabulous. on my first visit I had the Brussels sprouts appetizer which was wonderful and the sunrise bowl brunch entree which was certainly a very good bowl... Before writing this review I wanted to go back for the entrees, and after today, will definitely be back many times I am sure... What a great find! (Unfortunately my photo of the lasagna didn't store, oh darn, I'll just have to go back and get it again) FYI, I dined in and felt entirely comfortable.

I fell in love with True food when I visited my first location in Austin Texas. I was geeked out to know that it opened on long island. The servers are super friendly and so down to earth. Clean, pleasant decor. Fast service and the food is quite good. Excellent Margherita pizza and a unique salad bowl called a winter immunity bowl with lions mane mushrooms in a garlic broth. I really enjoyed it. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
