We went for dinner on a Sunday and the place was busy but not packed. Our waiter was super friendly and polite, he was with us right away and was very attentive. Service was really good. Unfortunately the food was really hit or miss. The grass fed burgers were delicious, but the turkey burger was almost inedibly salty and the buffalo sausage pizza was spicy and covered in cilantro. In fact, most of the food seemed to contain cilantro whether it was noted on the menu or not. I'd specify leaving it out of you're one of those "Cilantro tastes like soap" people. The desserts are also pretty small, along with the sweet potato hash serving that came along with the meals. Over all it was a very okay experience. I don't think we'll go back, there's just too many other good places around Rio to eat.

I ordered Mediterranean salad .The food is good. The dining environment is good too. Somehow looks like that our waiter was anxious for us leaving the restaurant asap. He kept removing utensils and bowls from our table. he asked whether I was still working on my food and he already tried to take my bowl when he asked me the question. There was nobody waiting for a table and there were a lot empty tables because it was a lunch on a rainy day.

Had lunch here today, we ordered Tuscan Kale salad, Turkey burger, and spaghetti squash casseroles. The Tuscan Kale salad is too acidic, the Kale is old and some of leaves are yellow, not worth ordering. The other two dishes are okay. overall nothing to write home about.

I really want to love this place, due to the staff being great but the food quality just isn’t there. The preparation looks great but out of the three meals I’ve had all the food is bland and over cooked. I’ve had both the strip steak and Icelandic cod. I asked for rare on the steak and it came out medium well, it was extremely tough and not seasoned at all. Normally Icelandic cod is buttery and falls apart in your mouth. This cod came out dry and again unseasoned. On both my trips the drinks have been great and the bartenders are spot on. I just wish the kitchen staff could produce better quality meals. I’ll most likely give them a third try and see if the kitchen has gotten any better.

Food was ok, nice portions. Nice restaurant, fire alarm was going off the entire time we dined there. I noted that it was a guest's birthday and asked for dessert when setting the reservation, but request was not acknowledged

I liked the atmosphere and location and the food is good however even for a health food place the portions were very small for the price I legit was hungry less than 1 hr after eating. Even for the location such as the RIO I felt the price was over priced , esp to be hungry 1 hr later . My waitress was very nice and I tipped her well but unfortunately for me this is a no return because food is way over priced.

I ordered two butternut squash pizzas and two chocolate chip cookies. The pizzas tasted good. It would have tasted better if some of the slices didn't have a burnt crust. The crust should not be burnt at all considering the fact that one pizza cost around $19 on Postmates. One of the cookies tasted good, while the other was stale.

Great restaurant but that day service was slow and the food was lukewarm like it had been sitting.

I got the seasonal fall pesto pasta with chicken in it which was underwhelming and I had to send my water back because there was something floating in it. Dissatisfied with the quality dining price we paid for and the subpar dining experience we got.

Food was ok but portions are quite small. My water glass stil had lipstick on it and during our entire dinner, we were only offered drinks ones (I could have gone for another glass of wine).

Food was good our server was pleasant but price not very budget friendly ir fair at all. $5 lemonade in an 8 to 10 ounce glass with NO refills. Give me a break, make money but not all on me alone! All those working there wear shirts, that say. "Honest" and "True" but they should say "Thief".

I had the korean noodle bowl and it was pretty good. I also had the edamame dumplings which were ok. The consensus of the table was to order the burger. Two people thought it was excellent. The service was attentive and efficient. Beer wine cocktails available. Brunch entrees on weekend. Many vegetarian and gluten-free items also available

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Food was good, but cocktails were off. One was super sweet and overly tangy. Both seemingly lacked any hint of alcohol.

First time at this location still needs to work some things out I presume or hope. Restaurant not busy, however kitchen extremely slow. The taste was ok but way better at Bethesda and not sure why? Ordered Tuna appetizer strangly came out brown I assume b/c they marinade it? Plus it's raw and took over 20 min to come out. Service was great but did not offer or ask for my rewards, I also forgot but when I logged on to add points I had a free birthday desert, plus 20% off...oh well don't know when either expire but probably won't go back for a while.

Horrible Salmon Meal! But, the service was excellent, and the staff was nice. Everyone else in my family enjoyed their food while I did my best to eat the most disgusting salmon I’ve ever had. The salmon itself, and the veggies were fine, but the corn sauce/broth was horrific! My cousin described the smell of it as a “dirty chlorinated swimming pool”. I really enjoy True Food, most of the time, but will never order the salmon again. I spoke with the manager, and he said that others made similar complaints in the past week since the new menu was created. It’s a great restaurant, but don’t order the salmon.

I would love to give them more stars but … here’s why I can’t My husband and I have gone multiple times for their breakfast and every time the service has just been not great I do get there is something going on with finding the right employees etc. but this has been multiple times now and each time we just don’t understand how they are training them? We always have to re ask for something cause it either coffee or juice that never comes to the table or utensils and when I ask it seems like a very big burden as well As far as the food it’s good I wouldn’t say the best cause again that also has been super inconsistent too

True Food Kitchen is a restaurant that serves health conscious fare. I made a reservation ahead of time but I didn't like the table that I was seated at so I asked for a booth so they sat me at the booth by the entrance. While waiting for a friend, I had a Strawberry Lemonade, which was sweet, fruity, and refreshing. I wasn't super hungry so I ordered the Tuscan Kale Salad, which consisted of organic kale tossed with lemony garlic dressing topped with parmesan and breadcrumb. It wasn't as tart as I had remembered. I didn't like how there was something spicy in it and some of the breadcrumbs were overly crunchy.

A decent place to have healthy food. I tried the Lasagne. The lasagne tasted decent but not as tasty as what you get in some lasagne/Italian restaurants. The lasagne has a strong spinach base which kind of overwhelmed the chicken inside. It is more a spinach lasagne that a chicken one. The quantity was very less for the price.
