Cozy, eclectic and private: this place is sweet. Perfect for two couples with a bathroom and bedroom downstairs and then a master suite in the attic. The stairs to the master suite in the attic are a bit steep for seniors but worth it for fleet of foot. The clawfoot tub in front of the window is a dream. A nice soak looking out at the forest Will put you in a big bear frame of mind. We brought our dog, and she loved it. There is a small fenced in area where you can let her out when it is cold. She found a rawhide bone and was thrilled. There is a downstairs gas fireplace and the kitchen is sweet and well-equipped. The deck really makes the place. It overlooks a forested Grove and is very private. It is ideal for stargazing in the night and having coffee in the morning. One thing to consider, is that the driveway and the approaching road are quite steep. I think on the frosty winter morning it might be slick.

I have used big bear rentals quite a few times in the past and they've always been great to deal with. Just came up recently on a last minute stay and had a great time with my daughter and son in law. The staff if always great to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone. Nice experience again

The cabin was clean, and fully stocked with all necessary kitchen essentials, and bathroom essentials. There were plenty of extra blankets and good heating, and a great fireplace. The game room was fantastic as were both of the large screen televisions. It was cozy and comfy and very user friendly. The best part was the proximity to the lake and the gorgeous, amazing view from all the windows...we loved it! Only a few minor issues..only one usable pool cue, and the lighting was very dim. We had to use our flashlights to see small print. The dishwasher was broken so we had to hand wash all dishes, and I was not offered a discount for this inconvenience. Only three patio chairs and no outdoor table on the deck, but we made it work to enjoy the mountain air, and the best view ever! I would most definitely like to go back to this amazing place!!!

Such a great time! Stayed at the cozy 1-bedroom house by the Village, and couldn't be happier. A perfect weekend. Can't wait to do it again.

We have used Big Bear vacations twice now and both times have been great experiences. Very friendly and helpful. Checkin/out was easy. Both cabins were clean, nice, and exactly what we had expected.
Cabin 1520 A Good time, is an exceptional place to stay and we loved the fully fenced deck and back yard for our 3 big dogs who traveled with us!
We will definitely be back next year! Thank you!

This is our 17th year coming to Big Bear for Oktoberfest. For the past three years we have stayed at different Big Bear vacation properties and will never go back to staying at a hotel. Nothing beats have your friends and family all together in a beautiful mountain cabin. The properties have all been wonderful and the any issues we had were quickly addressed by the staff. Each year more and more friends join our group and we move to bigger and bigger houses. Everyone loves the experience. I highly recommend booking a Big Bear Vacations property for your mountain getaway!!!

What a wonderful mini-vacation! My friends (4) and I stayed in cabin 1091 to celebrate my birthday. We absolutely love it so far. We decided to stay during October not only for good deals but also to experience fall in Big Bear just before the snow takes over. The leaves are all changing and the air is crisp and fresh. Luckily, the sun is out too which makes for even better weather. I am a huge fan of fall weather, especially in the mountain.
As for cabin 1091, let's just say the pictures on the website do not do it justice! The living room is cozy with a comfy couch and the fireplace only makes it cozier. We do not plan to watch TV, but the option is there with two DVD players and cable. Oh, and the WiFi is perfect too. The beds are comfortable too. We have a small deck in the front of the cabin with a BBQ and two chairs. (The deck is perfect for pumpkin carving and displaying them too!)
Overall, this stay has been wonderful and we still have the rest of today before we leave in the morning. The only thing we regret is not booking this cabin for a longer time! We will definitely be back.

Stayed at Papa Bear Cabin. Amazing view of the lake. Very relaxing and peaceful. It’s close to town as well so while you feel the comfort of being isolated you aren’t cutoff from supplies. Close to kayaking and a great trail, castle rock.
