First time here and we will definitely be back. I loved their fries and basic hamburger, my wife loved the chef salad, and my son really loved the 89 burger. Great taste, good quantity and surprisingly reasonable prices. Put this one on your list to visit soon.

The best hamburgers and fries in the county. Although the building sign still says Soda Fountain, Roots 89 has taken over and added their own decor, furniture, and kitchen to the place. They also offer ice cream and other treats....but you'll want to try their extensive list of varieties and sizes. Outdoor dining is available, and for some, a grassy lawn and shade next door that you can stretch out and take a nap after lunch.

THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN TREASURE!! It is the perfect "passing through town, lunch stop" you could ever want. The sandwich I got was seriously the best I've ever had! (Turkey and Cranberry Sauce) The sides are great too, lots of options. Very friendly staff and a great classic small town atmosphere. The other pictures on here make me want to try everything on the menu. I'm confident that nothing here would let me down. Definitely STOP HERE!

Absolutely amazing food. The hotdogs are fantastic, the soup is to die for, and the sandwiches are phenomenal. It's also the best soda stop in town. The Co-OP also has a large variety of locally-made crafts and goodies. (including my computer game "Super Kaje RPG".) It's a great establishment for folks of all ages, whether you're looking for a birthday present, or just need to wet your whistle with a killer rootbeer.
