Had the Spaghetti Squash Casserole, excellent! Kale blended drink was very good, did need some more ice for my taste. We were a table of six everyone enjoyed their meals, no complaints about the food but waiting for check and then the change, that's another story!!!!!

Always a big fan of True Food. Great healthy meal options. This location is located at the Fashion Valley Mall. There are sometimes a wait, but they take down your cell number and text you when your table is about to be ready...allowing you to get some shopping done if the wait is really long.
There is a nice outdoor seating area and in the middle is a fire-pit that you can sit around. A cool spot to chill and have a light snack with friends.
My Favorite: I like the pizza, but the bison burger is my favorite. Go half and half on the kale and sweat potato slices. I usually ask for a side of ketchup to go on the burger as well.

True Food Kitchen has the freshest food with a multitude of ambiances; outside around a fire ring, table seating al fresco, indoor booths, at the bar, tables for two. You know when you eat here you're getting quality good-for-you food, and that makes me happy. The pizzas are so tasty and the inside out quinoa "burger" is a hearty vegetarian delight. Another mind-blowing meal is the lettuce wrap appetizer. You can share, or if you're like me, order it for yourself! If you're unsure about the innovative refreshments, ask for a sample. Your server will be happy to provide you with a complimentary taste.

Tried here for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was great, explained the concept and the menu clearly. Drinks were very good (honey lemonade and the ginger/agave tea drink), food tasted fresh and healthy, even the kids' options were varied and well-presented. We'd come here again.

This is a totally awesome dinning experience. Definitely not your everyday grilled steak and pan fried fish. Very 'risky' menu, but they nailed it totally. "Thai green papaya with grilled salmon" is one of the best dishes we had for a while! Highly recommend!

I was super excited to try True Food Kitchen this past weekend and I must say it didn't disappoint. Excellent service, delicious and healthy food in a cool ambiance. I love the outdoor seating area that has a cozy fire pit area. Highlights: Kale and Avocado dip with flax crackers and the Red Chile Shrimp. True Foods is located at Fashion Valley Mall letting you have a great meal and some great shopping after.

What can I say other than drooool. This is hands down the best vegetarian friendly eatery in San Diego. I was extremely impressed by the menu and the variety of food options. Being a vegetarian for 15 years now, I often am disappointed by the lack of meat free options on a restaurant menu. It usually consists of a poorly executed salad. At True Food Kitchen you will not leave hungry, or have to settle with a lack luster salad. All foods are packed with flavor and nutrition!

Excellent service #1. If you have any kind of dietary restrictions, this place will take care of you. They are very patient and will answer all questions. And then the food that comes out is incredible. I have never eaten gluten free this good. The hummus is amazing.
