My wife and I were in the market for a new garage to replace our structurally unsound WW2 era wreck with a new state-of-the-art structure that could fulfill a number of post-pandemic needs such as being electric car ready and enlarging our outdoor entertainment options. Like all Chicagoans, we regularly get drive-by contractors who put ads on the garage. I chose none of those but instead put out requests for bids, and interviewed 6 contractors including some of the largest garage builders in Chicago. Michael came in at a fair price point, but was also willing to listen to our needs and adapt on the fly. He followed his contract to the letter, and arranged exceptional workmen during the height of the pandemic when labor was at its most difficult to find.
