I worked with Sam Ivy 6 years ago when my dog had severe separation anxiety and they were wonderful. I called them again recently when my older dog started acting out and I wanted to make sure we were working with him safely and I LOVE the new virtual format. It gives me a chance to work with the dog without the distraction of a new person being in the house, but we still get that 1-on-1 instruction. Our trainer Holli is AMAZING! I love working with her. She gives very clear instructions on what to do, breaks everything down as to why we do or don’t do certain things, explains dog behavior, and is super supportive. I know if I’m having an issue I can text her and get a very fast response and she’s very understanding of whether we were or weren’t able to work something. She’s made us feel very comfortable from day one and has made a world of difference in how my dog behaves and has made me feel in complete control. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! Dougie has made huge leaps in a short amount of time, and I have Holli to thank for it!

I absolutely love Sam Ivy Dog Training. At 1st I was hesitant to do zoom training and to use both a prong collar and an E-collar. I even asked if I could be refunded my money after a few training sessions if it wasn't a good fit. And they said yes, minus the ones I had already done. I began my training with Holli. She is an incredible trainer, she always replies to my questions in a timely manner via text, even when I ask on her off hours, she replies 1st thing when she's back on the clock, sometimes sooner! She begins each session asking me how things are going I REALLY wish I would've found Sam Ivy training sooner. I was using a service dog trainer in person in the Denver area near me. When I was in Sarasota visiting my mom, I was considering bringing my puppy down there to finish my training and searched service dog training near me. Sam Ivy came up. I sent a message, and I received a call back within 24 hours. I was shocked to find out if was Zoom training world wide. Marabelle was shocked to find out I was being taught motivational training ONLY and already taking my 8 month old puppy into the public for training sessions (since he was 5 months old). Dobby is my 1st dog and I knew nothing about motivational vs corrective training. How I wish I would've found Sam Ivy and started with Holli last May as Dobby would already completed training! Holli has worked wonders with Dobby in such a short time, she has displayed so much patience with me. One example is getting the prong collar to fit just right. I tried a micro-adjusrment after she sent me a video and showed her. She simply said "did you watch the video? Take that out it's not doing any good." She didn't get mad or scold me. She simply showed me Brody's. I said "ahhh now I get it!" She's so professional and patient with me & Dobby. I'm very OCD and tend to overthink things and Holli has learned this about me and she now reminds me not to overthink stuff, especially when I text her the same question worded a different way for the 3rd time. Dobby and I are getting close to graduating from the program... I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone by. I'm looking forward to upgrading and beginning our service dog training program with Holli next! I do think the zoom training is beneficial as your dog is only working with you, the owner and handler, the alpha of the pack.. it's great they send you all the equipment. Just don't set your leash down for 2 minutes while your puppy is eating and use the restroom and come back and be surprised if it's chewed apart.on day 2! You'd be crazy not to invest your time and money into your dog's life and yours with Sam Ivy Dog Training program. Here's to a happier life for both you and your best friend! Sarah Field

We adopted a 9-month-old Maltese named Macy, and though we adored her, she came with a few challenges. Macy had never been exposed to the outside world. Our bloodhound Maddy is a rescue. She is the sweetest most loving dog I have ever known. While she is just a pleasure, she struggled with obedience and we needed to get her some coaching. We struggled getting her not pull on leash, not to beg at the dinner table, or follow anything we tried to tell her or show her and she would follow me around the house incessantly, always under my feet. Sam Ivy was the perfect match for us and so was Gina. The training really works. I was very impressed with the methods and techniques of this training. It didn't happen overnight, it took a lot of patience and work on our part, Maddy's and Gina's. With each session we saw the progress Maddy was making and how great Maddy was responding & performing. She now knows boundaries, how to sit, follow, stay, stay on spot, come, lay down and follow commands and do it all through various distractions. Now I walk the dog instead of her walking me. Gina was so kind, patient and great at keeping us on track. She made each session a pleasant, happy and fun experience. It's an easy program to follow that you can do from the comfort of your home that gives great results if you just follow the directions and practice in between sessions. You gave us the tools we need to be able to train her for things that will come up in the future. Gina, I can't thank you enough for helping our Maddy and us! I think she will miss having you in our lives as much as we will.

From day one Sam Ivy gave me the tools and knowledge to be in better control of my dog’s behavior. My dog is four-years old and was house broken when I got her, but didn’t know basic commands and I did not have a good level of control of her even on the leash. I live in a pet-friendly community, but my dog wasn’t socialized. Getting her socialized was important to me so we could be around other dogs. Gina is very knowledgeable about canine behavior, which has helped me understand my dog better. I know that they are a pack animal, but she told me that they are also a den animal, meaning that unless they are out hunting, they are fine spending time in their den (in other words, when I am away, she is ok). Gina was able to come up with ‘baby steps’ to break tasks into smaller increments when my dog wasn’t doing well learning specific commands and we always got to the desired result. I recently dog sat for a relative’s dog, who is still in the puppy phase with the exuberant puppy energy. This dog is partially trained, but still has some undesirable behaviors. I felt confident dog sitting because I knew I had the tools to deal with the unwanted behavior when she was with me and we did just fine. It was a pleasure working with Gina and I highly recommend both her as a trainer and Sam Ivy as a training g system.
