We just got back from our Micato Safari in Kenya and Tanzania and I can’t recommend this outfitter enough! There is a reason they are recognized as the best in the industry - every detail of our trip was planned, coordinated, and executed beautifully. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Nairobi until we departed (including help navigating all airport security coming and going!), Micato thought of everything and treated us like family! Every person in the organization is kind and knowledgeable and engaging and professional, from Nick (our safari coordinator who expertly organized the booking and all pre-trip logistics), to Purity (our Micato Concierge who ensured we had everything we needed before heading into the bush, and even rounded up a care package of our daughter’s newly-discovered favorite snack bars only available in Kenya before we departed!), to Jane Pinto (the company’s founder who personally greeted us in Nairobi!), to Phillip (our Safari Director who accompanied us every step of the way, getting to know us personally and tailoring every day to our preferences while sharing his vast knowledge of all things Africa with us!), to Simba (our safari driver throughout Tanzania who knew every trail, animal, and other driver along the route to ensure we got up close and personal with ALLL the animals!), and everyone in between.
As an illustration of what sets Micato apart (aside from the first class accommodations, best people in the industry, and commitment to giving back to their community through the America Share and Huru initiatives), we planned this trip to celebrate our daughter’s upcoming high school graduation, and in honor of what would have been my late mom’s 70th birthday as this was a bucket list trip for her. Micato not only coordinated several graduation celebrations along the way (songs and dancing and cake!), but as a special tribute for my mom, when we arrived at our camp in the Maasai Mara, Micato had arranged for us to plant a tree in her honor and memory on her birthday. To say we were touched and overcome is an understatement.
If you’re going to safari, I can’t recommend Micato enough!

What an experience. This was one of the most amazing trips I've ever gone on. From the white glove five star service when you touchdown in Africa, to the beautiful accommodations, thoughtful gifts, knowledgeable and hilarious guides, Micato delivered with flying colors on this highly anticipated trip.
Seeing all the wildlife throughout Kenya and Tanzania in style is the only way I wish to ever do a safari again. It's very difficult to describe the sense of joy I had waking up every morning ready for a new adventure. Your guides become your family and you dread having the journey come to an end from the very first day you begin.
We stayed at some of the most beautiful glamping I've stayed in at Loisaba and Maasai Mara and at couple of resorts overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti that I could take pictures of all day long.
We had a quite a few surprise bush lunches and dinners while enjoying the peaceful wildlife roaming around us. This was the first time I was served some fine lobster in the middle of nowhere while watching giraffes and elephants off in the distance! What a treat!
And it is worth every penny. I'm sure I will be returning again in the future for another Micato adventure. Thank you Micato for a brilliant trip.

My Micato Safari was amazing and fantastic! I can't say enough good things. Having been in the group travel for 26 years. It was very Cool and Fun to sit back and enjoy All of Micato Services from the beginning to the end. Marion is the Best and Fun and I want to work with her on another Trip!

We took a 10 year anniversary safari with Micato and somehow they exceeded my wildest expectations. Everything was perfectly planned and no detail spared. We felt special the entire time and had the trip of a lifetime that we will be discussing at our 50th anniversary. I can't wait to book another trip with Micato!

Our experience with Micato was exceptional. Our Safari guide, Julius was with us from the moment we landed until we left to go home. The level of detail and the quality of accommodations exceeded our expectations. With Micato taking care of us, we could truly appreciate the beauty of Kenya and Tanzania and observe the animals in their natural environment. A bucket list trip completed and a realization that there are other African experiences now on our list!

Without question, the best African Outfitters that exist today. First class from first contact to the end of the tour. Exceeded every expectation. All doors in Africa were open to Micato. Exceptional guides, drivers and accommodations. Two more trips planned. If you want the best use Micato.
