There was not a single member on your team who didn’t exceed on our expectations and everything was seamless. Julius was cool as a cucumber and a pleasure. If you want to be WOWED by your Safari experience, choose Micato! Thanks for an unforgettable trip:)

We have just returned from a two week safari with Micato Safaris. We were blown away by the luxurious accommodations and gourmet meals of each of the camps and lodges. It's hard to imagine the effort it takes to pull that off in such remote settings. Of course, the stars of the show are the landscapes/animals/people of Africa. It seems no native African ever has a bad day! If you choose Micato for your trip--you will not be disappointed.

In a word a Micato Safari is outstanding...from the start we were welcomed and all of our needs and requests were accommodated. The hotels, our guide Julius, the administrative staff, food were first class all the way. We were able to see 4 of the big five animals during the trip and the Micato team made had a bunch of surprises all along the trip. We really enjoyed the bush flights to move us around Tanzania and Kenya, as they provided a view that you don't see in the United States. Often we were the only passengers on these flights. Our guide Julius was friendly, very knowledgeable and really took care of us for the full 10 days. He was the first to arrive and the last to go to bed each evening. Well Done!

I went on on a small-group tour in May 2024 through Botswana (3 different bush camps), and Victoria Falls, with an additional few days in Cape Town. Simply put, it exceeded my expectations in virtually every regard. Thoughtfully chosen locations, camps and hotels; very knowledgeable guides; generally excellent food and every detail planned in advance. The small group also permitted the guides to easily handle last-minute changes in the schedule in response to weather or client requests (such as adding a private tour at a Cape Town museum). I generally don't post reviews, but the Micato experience was so wonderful that I wanted to provide these comments.

I recently returned from my fourth (!) safari with Micato. Yes, they have won me over. This one was to Southern Africa. After luxuriating for two nights at the Saxon in Johannesburg, where we visited the very moving Apartheid Museum, we headed off on safari. We stayed at Phinda Forest Lodge and Ulusaba Safari Lodge in South Africa. Two different environments, with excellent trackers and guides, and up-close-and-personal game experiences. Then off to Victoria Falls and to Verney's Camp, both in Zimbabwe. Verney's was remote and peaceful, with scores of elephants visiting the watering hole. The hosts and staff, and the Zimbabwean people in general, made it impossible for me to *not* fall in love with them. Finally, on to Sossusvlei Desert Lodge in Namibia. It's located in the oldest desert on the planet, at the edge of Africa's only Dark Sky Reserve, just about as remote as one can get,. It does not disappoint. Helicopter sightseeing and ballooning were beyond stunning. The sustainable lodge pampered us, while remaining eco-friendly. Oh, I fell in love with the Namibian people as well. Micato takes care of all the details, overlooking nothing, so you can bathe in the splendor. Safari changes you. Oh, and I have already booked my next trip for next year.
