My husband and I had a trip of a lifetime with Micato Safaris. We went on a safari to East Africa in December 2019. We were the only 2 people signed up, but the full safari went on as planned. Needless to say, with Sammy our safari director who was with us the entire time, to the various local driver/guides, and all the Micato staff we were totally taken care of from start to finish. It was great not to have to worry about the details of getting from place to place. The camps and hotels we stayed in were great and the food was delicious. At 3 of the camps, we were the only guests. The best part was travelling through the beautiful countries and seeing the animals in their natural habit. It was amazing how close we got to them and how many different animals we saw. Needless to say I would highly recommend a safari with Micato and we can't wait to explore more of Africa with them!

My husband and I went on a safari two years ago this past May. We had a fabulous time. The hotels and lodges were spectacular. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We got lucky (depending on your personal taste) in that Micato runs safari groups with one person or full group. They don't cancel. We lucked out and basically got a private tour. So everything went on our preferences. It was a trip I booked out of my comfort zone. But man, I'm so happy I went. One of my very favorite trips!

My safari to Kenya and Tanzania was a trip of a lifetime. Micato thinks of every detail from before the trip begins to well after it is over. Months prior to the trip, Micato sent information, books, DVDs and popcorn! to allow a peek into what you can look forward to on their safaris. While we were enjoying lunch at tables with china, other tours in the nearby area were enjoying their lunch from the back of the vehicle. We saw the big five and then some. Our guide was professional, full of knowledge (about the animals, area, history, customs) and lighthearted. He knew how to make it really fun. Before we left, everyone had a framed picture of the group taken during a point in the trip. It was truly wonderful. And when a small holiday token arrived months later, I could not have been more surprised. Unbelievable! I look forward to another Micato safari.

Micato is simply amazing. We traveled with them for a safari through Kenya and Tanzania and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Our tour guide, Kennedy, and all of the staff were incredibly patient, kind and made our journey fantastic. They delighted us at every turn with little surprises and touching details. We will cherish our Micato memories for ever.

I did a lot of research on luxury safaris prior to my husband and me booking the Micato African Splendour safari (August 15-31st). We debated about whether we would include South Africa and Victoria Falls as part of our trip, and we are so glad we did. In addition, friends who had traveled with Micato previously, recommended Micato. We were very pleased with the excellent service, knowledgeable guides and beautiful, luxury accommodations throughout the trip. One was nicer than the next. We especially enjoyed The Manor and Mahali Mzuri. Micato provided many touches that made the trip even more special, including Mrs. Pinto and the president meeting us at the airport in Nairobi and having lunch with us upon our return. Prior to our trip, upon returning to our room each night and following our trip, Micato provided thoughtful gifts as remembrances of our travels. It was important to us that our trip be “all-inclusive” and we appreciated that we were not “nickel and dimed” for WIFI, tips, drinks, and laundry. In Nairobi we stayed at Hemingway’s Nairobi. From there we visited Karen Blixen’s home and the Giraffe Centre. It was a real treat to be able to hand feed the Rothschild’s giraffes. Another highlight of our trip was our visit to Micato’s AmeriShare project in the middle of one of the worst slums in Nairobi. Micato and its clients do so much to support the people and children of this area. Our last night was spent at the Hotel Fairmont The Norfolk in Nairobi, another very nice property.

My daughter and I went on an incredible safari journey with the most amazing safari group - Micato Safaris. We went on the Micato Grand Safari and can say it was a trip of a lifetime. The Pinto family, Micato staff and all the people of Tanzania and Kenya we met along our journey were amazing, gracious and knowledgable. We can't wait to go on our next journey to South Africa with them very soon.
