Very happy with our rubber mulch!

Price was very competitive, delivery quick. Being that this mulch is from shredded tires, we have found some steel slivers but overall it's pretty clean.

The sample let me make my decision on what color to order.

Very reasonable price point. Delivered on time. Only negative was a small amount of metal splinters in the product. Probability of future concern will be marginal, but did have small issues when spreading by hand.

The red rubber mulch was delivered quickly and in tact. After two years, the color has held as advertised. Only downside I experienced was the freight company delivering the mulch arguing with me and wanting $20 to leave it in the driveway instead of at the curb.

Great product! Looks fantastic around the playhouse . Has not blown away or washed away in heavy rain. There is very little to no smell from the product even at hot temperatures.

Excellent communication and quick shipping for a pallet. The size of the mulch is a little larger than I expected, but overall I am pleased with the purchase.

Had issues with having our own company come to pick up mulch so ended up having to spend the extra money to have them deliver it. Mulch was as described and they kept me informed on shipping dates and eta for arrival which was accurate, but could've had the trucking company I use do it cheaper. Will use again if more bulk mulch is needed, just wish I could've used the trucking company I have a relationship with vs paying the extra for their shipping company, but was still cheapest I could find. And again, product was as described.

I used the Black Rubber Mulch for Landscaping Product Code: BLRM. We put it out approximately April 1, 2023. So far the color is still black with a little dulling but it looks really good. It doesn't wash away in heavy rain and stays in place. It has a clean look to it as opposed to regular mulch that starts to decompose almost immediately. Some of the rubber mulch has large chunks but most of it is smaller pieces. If it continues to hold its color for the prescribed 12 years I will be a happy man. So far it looks good to me.More updates to follow. 6/1/23 Update. A fair amount of the edges of the rubber is turning white and no longer is black. Update: about June 2023 the black mulch started to show white edges all in it. I emailed customer support and they said they would get back with me but I have not heard from them. It's kind of disheartening to put down 3 pallets of this to already have it turning white on the edges. Sept 2023 I emailed customer service about the problem of some of the black mulch turning white. They have responded with the manufacturer is supposed to get in touch with me. I will update when the manufacturer and I can talk.

Great deal on mulch, but delivery times are incorrect and customer service is seriously lacking. I had to reach out to ask when my order was coming after it didn't show up in the promised timeframe twice. They never proactively communicated that my order was delayed. Only order from here if you're not in a hurry.

Mulch was as stated so no problem there. Delivery company was another problem. Couldn't give me a correct delivery date. Then changed my street number. Only one driver on an 18 wheeler in a residential area. Had to help driver to get pallets on tailgate lift. I had asked for a smaller truck but they said not available , so if in SW Florida area be prepared to help driver .

Ordered the black rubber mulch. Paid less but mulch had lots of white tread in pellets.

They promised 1 to 2 week delivery.. got it in 3 1/2 but thy dropped it at the bottom of my street with no option to put it in my driveway? 1 1/2 ton of mulch that I now have to figure out how to carry 50 yards up my driveway. Terrible communication.. run far away!

If you want to be mislead and lied to then this is the perfect place to purchase your mulch from. It took 3 scheduled appointments before they actually delivered the product. The delivery window was between 8-5, no call no show the first 2 times after waiting around all day. Good luck getting anyone to answer your call here, the only way they'll somewhat respond is by email. After I threatened to cancel the order they promised me a discount. It's been 2 weeks since the delivery and still no credit or discount, I've sent them several reminders and they have blatantly ignored. Not to mention that when I did receive the delivery (3 weeks late) that there was rubber mulch scattered all over the floor of the delivery truck. I lost 3-4 bags of mulch but couldn't determine the amount missing until i got to the bottom of the pallet. I'll spend the extra money next time and buy from someone that actually cares.

Extremely disappointed! The advertised delivery time frames are not accurate and should be updated. One of the two major reasons we ordered from Mulch Direct was the Delivery time frame. We ordered over $3,000 worth of rubber mulch for our twin's swing set for their birthday party this weekend. I contacted Mulch Direct after 7 business days as we had not been contacted for delivery and the website says Delivery in 5-7 business days. I received a response, but was notified that our order would not even ship until at least 10 business days following our order so delivery will likely be some time following that. On the voicemail for customer service, they ask you not to contact them until 15 business days after order if you have not received delivery. It appears that the company knows the advertised Delivery time frame is not accurate, but has not corrected it on their website. I will update this review with more information and adjust the rating upon delivery of the mulch. I would not recommend relying on the Delivery time frame as other reviews suggest as well.

$1200 ORDER AND NO UPDATES! I placed an order FIVE weeks ago and have not received a proper update. No one answers the phone, and when I email they tell me "it's shipping next week". That was three weeks ago now. Their website claims 1-4 weeks shipping, yet 5 weeks in and I am still waiting. So far a very poor experience.

Mulch Direct emailed me after I bought 3 pallets of there mulch ($1700.00) for a review. I wrote the email (below) back to them and got NO response.....soooo I will share it with everyone now. Not sure you really want me to do that….but I just might After reading how it didn’t float away when it rained…..well that’s a big fat lie I have spent more time digging the rubber mulch out of my regular mulch then you can shake a stick at I also had to build damns/barricades up to divert the rain so the mulch wouldn’t wash away I had about 35-40 bags of mulch left over we were going to use at other spots around the yard and as spares to fill in low spots over time NOW we have 2 bags left after all the other mulch has washed away and we had to fill the area back up REALLY want me to post all this so others can read it ?!?!

Was happy with the mulch and the rubber border but completely dissatisfied with this company and its customer service. We spent over $3,000 for rubber mulch and borders. I had to reach out multiple times in order to place my order. I also wanted to order other items (ex. a mat for the end of a slide) but it seemed such a hassle to get the mulch and border ordered that I figured I would be better off ordering the smaller items elsewhere. The items were delivered separately and both required significant time off work. One delivery company narrowed the delivery time down to "anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m." When the mulch was delivered, one of the pallets hit the ground and came apart in my driveway. Not really a big deal but trying to give the big picture. We installed the borders according to the instructions that were provided in the box (3 stakes per border). Not only did the directions in the box indicate 3 stakes, the borders had three indentations for said stakes. About 3/4s of the way through, we run out of stakes. I called Mulch Direct to advise we were weren't provided with the proper amount of stakes. They tell me only use 2. The instructions on the website say only use 2 per border. Okay....but I already installed them correctly. Why would I look at their website to see how to install it when they came with directions? If I take them out, each border will have a hole in it......Well....the website says only use 2. Gee.....thanks. I needed 30 more stakes. They are about $1 a piece at Home Depot. That's where I ended up getting them. For an order over 3K, I would expect the proper amount of stakes and I would think customer service would be a little more inclined to keep their customers happy. GO ELSEWHERE

False Advertising. They do not ship free as advertised on the website.

UPDATED REVIEW: They didn't like that we posted a review stating the facts of what happened, so rather than trying to remedy the problem (we called/emailed the owner several times... but he never responded), THEY put a hold on the order, refunded the money to the credit card, and only after all of this did they send an email stating that to continue the order, they would need a money order or certified check in the next 7 days. Oh, yeah, THEY THREATENED US TO TAKE DOWN THE REVIEW BEFORE THEY DID THIS. Um, no. PEOPLE DESERVE TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. If they wanted an updated, better review, they should have bent over backwards with kindness. Reviews are updated after the action... NOT BEFORE. Along with the facts that 1) they "monitor" all the reviews on their own business website and 2) threaten people who post reviews elsewhere... it's no wonder they have a "5 star review." After the underhandedness of this company, there is no way we are sending them this kind of money ($4160.00) for a product that can't be a protected purchase through a credit card. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We ordered 8 pallets of this rubber playground mulch (16000 lbs) on Tuesday. Can't comment on what the mulch is actually like since we don't have it yet, but the communication of when our mulch will actually be delivered changes. Since this is SO much mulch, we called on Thursday and asked if it would be delivered the next day on Friday... so we would be able to have the time and manpower on hand that we need to get it moved to where it belongs. After a call to the warehouse, the customer service agent told us that, yes, it would be delivered (we are only 20 minutes south of the warehouse). We were told that we would get a phone call/email with the time that it would be delivered. Fast forward to today. Still hadn't heard/received anything about a time so made a call to find out what's up. We were told that actually it's NOT infact coming today. We were then told that since the instructions said to deliver by Friday or to wait a week for delivery that THEY decided to wait a week. WHY, WHEN WE SPECIFICALLY CALLED ABOUT THE DELIVERY, WERE WE TOLD IT WOULD BE COMING TODAY-FRIDAY???? So irritated that we could plan for this delivery, with all the extra help we need, just to be given the run around and a lame "sorry." It appears that the communication between departments and then on to customers is very poor. We only hope that we do in fact eventually get the mulch and that we don't have to deal with more incompetence and run-around.
