I bought a dual channel tuning box for my focus estate 1.8 tdci 2006, and so far everything is great. With the dip switch set in the default position I'm getting around 50 miles more from a tank of fuel, and the car is revving around 100 rpm lower for the same speed than before. So I don't have to floor it as much to pull away at junctions. So it's made it quieter and much more refined to drive, turbo lag is reduced considerably and the power is more low down in the rev range where you need it for driving around town with a smoother less aggressive acceleration when you do floor it. I did try pushing the power up by around 10 bhp by setting the dip switch higher, but it did increase engine noise, fuel consumption (by a lot!) and made the cruising speeds around town sit more comfortably into lower gears which kept the revs higher. So overall I'm very happy with the optimum setting and it will pay itself off pretty quickly if I can get 50 miles more per tank consistently. Great!
