This outfitter is incredibly horrendous! Their customer service was despicable and absolutely ruined my day! My day was very well planned up until this point. I had a reservation and since the weather was bad, (overcast, chilly, and raining off and on), I had the concierge double check if they were still running. I had planned this long in advance. The company said yes they were still going out. I arrived one hour early and waited for them. One or two kiosks away was another jet boat operator and I really wish I had known about them because I certainly would’ve taken them over OZ. Once they arrived at their kiosk, they had me check in and sign everything so I was all prepared. It was about five minutes before departure, and it was raining very hard so they told me to go across the way where the shops were to take cover and that they would call me to let me know when they were leaving. So I sat there for a while and I’m thinking “what is going on?” I walked back over to the kiosk just across the way and they claimed that they called me verbally they tried calling my cell phone but my cell is not working. (I am from the states.)So they took off without me. He said if it cleared up they would run the boat again so I went to the Sydney opera House for a one hour tour. By 2 PM the weather was beautiful so I walked back to the outfitter and I watched the boat take off without passengers. The man running this excursion was incredibly rude! I asked him when the next tour would be, and he tells me that he’s done for the day. He says he does not have enough people. Bullshit! Get your ass out there and FIND people! At this point I am furious because I had planned this day strategically so I could utilize every moment. This was booked way in advance. So all this man does is tell me he tried to call but he couldn’t find me. He repeatedly says this and I’m the one that has to ask him what is he prepared to do to make this up to me? Or can I get a refund? At this point he tells me there are no refunds and there’s nothing he can do to make it up. I’m the one that had to suggest alternatives, which he should have done. He did nothing to correct his mistake. The customer service that I received was nothing short than despicable. He claims he’s sorry but says it without feeling. He did nothing to try to make this up. This is absolutely unacceptable! It was his fault in the first place. He was very pompous, and allows me to leave, extremely upset. No respectable company would ever conduct such behavior. There was another jet boat operator almost next to him and I wish I would’ve known about them because this man I was speaking with was absolutely wonderful! He could not believe what it happened himself. He was more apologetic than that idiot operating OZ Jetboat. The jet boats all do basically the same thing and I highly encourage you to not purchase from this outfitter. Why go through this hassle? If I can find the name of the other jet boat in the Sydney Harbour I will edit this review to steer you in the right direction. Save yourself the aggravation and endorse a different company because this one sucks!
