I purchased the PMP Exam Simulator based upon the 6th Edition of the PMBOK after failing on my initial attempt to pass the exam. Previously, I took a "boot camp" from another commercial entity that came with both a study guide and a different exam simulator, but after taking the exam, I came to the opinion that both were of lower quality than what was needed to pass.
PM Prepcast's PMP exam simulator was light years ahead of the other entity's products. When they say "exam simulator," they mean it. The questions are structured in a way that is similar to what I saw on the exam (both are written to make damn good and sure you actually understand the source material), but both the explanations to all of the choices offered in a given question, and reference all the way to the PMBOK are where this product really shines. It seemed like every time I answered a question, I came to a better understanding of WHY the correct answer was the BEST choice, and how the other answers were either flat-out wrong, or not "correct enough." I took the exam again last week, and passed it. I got "Above Target" for the Initiating, Planning, and Executing domains, and "Target" for the Monitoring/Controlling and Closing domains. All 5 domains saw increased scores compared to the use of the other entity's product.
I recommend PM Prepcast's PMP exam simulator in the highest possible terms. In my opinion, it would be a steal even if it were priced significantly higher. I look forward to seeing if this company also has PDU options available to keep my new cert current.
