When I heard we were going to True Food Kitchen for dinner it brought back some memories of a previous visit where we ran into some old friends unexpectedly. I couldn’t tell you what we ate back then but the good feeling I had told me is was going to be ok.
We ordered the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower appetizer for the table and everyone enjoyed those. Both were flavorful and well prepared. The bits of fig in the cauliflower dish was a nice touch and a mental note was made to add this to my own recipe next time we had cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts included some saffron adding a delicate flavor.
For dinner we had the poke bowl, two others had the Korean bowl which had the sweet potato glass noodles, a nice GF touch, another had the vegan burger, which she said was a portobello delight. All gave high marks on their dinner choices. Impressed with the varied menu and the excellent service, we will have to add this this place in a more regular spot on our restaurant rotation.
I will add that we went in January and sat on the patio seating and we were not cold at all. With the screens down and the heaters on it was a cozy place to sit with fresh air.
