The women's and men's final of Wimbledon over the weekend on the big screen with strawberries and cream and Pimms all round

We’re ready for the Wimbledon fortnight. Who was up last night watching probably the greatest first round game ever, between Serena Williams v Harmony Tan. Our residents were, and so was I.

The residents had a great time singing old tyme music hall songs in the garden with Alastair.

The RAH RAH Theatre company gave Sherwood Grange residents a rousing Platinum Jubilee performance in the sunshine.

For the Queen’s Birthday we celebrated with a vibrant performance from “Tap About Town” while enjoying a cream tea complete with special biscuits from Buckingham Palace…wow..how lucky are we.

The lovely Caroline was entertaining the residents singing musical,opera and jazz songs. It was such a chilled atmosphere in the garden. Thanks Caroline.

It took concentration, elbow grease and a fit of the giggles to make our Lemon cupcakes for Royal Ascot……and we didn’t even add any alcohol to them .

It’s been a busy, busy time at Sherwood Grange over the Platinum Jubilee. We enjoyed talks focusing on the Queen’s life with our residents thoroughly engaged with all things royal.
