Happy Wednesday! Here are a few tips from our Orientation Team on how to get ready for BC over the summer:
1. Reflect on the what your experience has been with personal development, academics, social life, etc. in the past year and how you can bring what these experiences have taught you to your life at BC.
2. Follow various BC departments or clubs you are interested in on Instagram to familiarize yourself with what they do and the programs they offer.
3. Connect with your fellow first-year students on social media by following your class page. It’s a great way to integrate into the community if you are nervous about making friends.
4. Start thinking about a packing list so that you avoid the panic of last minute dorm shopping.
5. Come up with a self-introduction including some fun facts. You’ll be asked to provide a few quite often when you get to campus.
6. Hold space for any anxiety you may feel about coming to BC. New chapters can be a little nerve-racking, and taking the time to journal, meditate, process, etc. can help put you at ease and validate your experience.
7. Affirm yourself. We know that you are more than ready for life at BC and we want you to believe it too ❤️
