Hear from Jayne about why she decided to attend BC: “I knew I wanted to go to Boston College because of its unique educational programs, vibrant community, and commitment to service. BC enables me to double major in History and Political Science in MCAS and minor in Journalism. I strive to utilize BC’s 3+3 law program, remaining on a pre-law track. These resources solidified my decision to attend BC because I feel they support my professional and personal goals. Secondly, when I participated in the Eagle for a Day program, I was exposed to BC’s welcoming atmosphere. Many of the students I met throughout the day smiled at me and asked me questions about myself. This experience made me feel embraced by the BC community. Finally, BC’s service-learning programs reaffirmed my decision. For example, I attended APPA and served at a Christian foster care home, where I witnessed how a deficiency of educational resources affects home-schooled children. I participated in similar opportunities during high school and BC allowed me to continue my dedication to service during spring break. BC is a prestigious institution that offers a high-quality education and moral foundation. I am very excited to independently discern who I want to be, how I want to live, and why.”
