Another optional experiential course we want to highlight is Field Studies in Nauvoo, Illinois! You will have the wonderful opportunity to build your testimony while visiting the same sights where revelations and doctrines were revealed and restored in our day.

To celebrate Holy Week, we're spotlighting Eric Huntsman and the book "Greater Love Hath No Man," by Eric D. Huntsman and Trevan G. Hatch! Eric studied Greek and Latin at BYU and earned his PhD in ancient history from Penn. After teaching classics for nine years, he transferred to the Department of Ancient Scripture so he could study, teach, and write about the New Testament Gospels. Providing Latter-day Saints the means to go on a scriptural journey with Jesus Christ through his last days is the most important thing this book does. Not everyone can come to Jerusalem, but this book includes the most important texts from the Gospels and their meaning, shares how each day has been observed by different Christian groups, and makes suggestions on what individuals and families can do in their own homes. Eric hopes that each person and family can be inspired to come up with their own holiday traditions that will help them have a more reflective Holy Week, a solemn Good Friday, and a truly joyous Easter.

We are spotlighting Brother Brad Wilcox this week! Brother Wilcox loves seeing students as they learn to take their study gospel study more seriously. He loves to see them learn at a deeper level and feel the satisfaction that brings. He also loves when people come up to him and say, “You taught me when I was a teenager at EFY,” and now they are dropping off their kids at FSY. Similarly, he loves it when students come up to him and say, “You taught my mom and dad when they were at BYU.” A fun fact about Brother Wilcox is that he and his friend Steven Kapp Perry once sang the national anthem at a Chicago Cubs game with President Ronald Reagan in attendance.

Howard W. Hunter taught that at the end of our lives we will not be judged by what we have but by what we have become.

This volume expands upon his earlier book "God So Loved the World" in the same user-friendly format, organizing the chapters according to the traditional days of Holy Week with expanded discussion and additional materials. After discussing the scriptural accounts for each day of Holy Week, the chapters then summarize how these scriptural events have been celebrated through the centuries in different Christian traditions before sharing suggestions on how Latter-day Saints can both study the texts and commemorate the events in their own families.
