"Running Queen City Thrift, my sustainable business for secondhand clothing, is so rewarding. Not only do I try my best to save clothes from going straight to the landfill, but I’m able to advocate for and promote sustainable fashion through my platforms. I’ve never felt so supported in my passions than I have at Boston College. Everyone is so genuine and caring about what I do and how I do it." - Katie Neeb '25
“I feel very humbled and fortunate to work at the Boston College Thea Bowman AHANA & Intercultural Center, and to be part of the process that leans into and centers the BAIC’s intercultural aspect to support all minoritized students on campus. I don’t just feel welcomed with my holistic identity, I feel celebrated for it—and I want all students on campus to feel the same way.” - Ira Kirschner, associate director who leads programming, resources, and support initiatives for LGBTQ+ students and their allies | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/IraKirschner

"I applied to the Homecoming Court because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and connect with the greater Boston College community. I wanted to meet more people from different backgrounds and other student leaders. Being selected means that my voice is heard. My own unique experiences are something that other people want to hear about. "One experience that has impacted my time at Boston College has been my Perspectives class. After every class, Professor Kerry Cronin always would say, ‘Do good. Go out in the world, be good, do good, choose good.’ I think dissecting what that really means over the course of my four years here has been super impactful and influential. It really shapes the way I view my life and what I want to do next - being able to discern and use wisdom in how I make my decisions." - Eunice Ham '24, one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
"Applying to the Homecoming Court means a number of things to me. First of all, it means a sense of pride for my class, for my school, and for the people around me. It also ensures a legacy for those coming after me. Inspiring future generations of BC students to be part of Homecoming means the world to me, and it means that I can continue to be a leader on our campus." - Jonah Kotzen '24, one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
"In my almost four years at Boston College, being authentic is one of the most important things that you can learn. Being authentic is not only important to me, but it's also important to my family. When my grandfather attended BC, he learned to be authentic and brought aspiration to my family, and now it's become everything that I focus my life around." - Jacqueline Carlson '24 | one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
“In order to get everything you’re supposed to out of life, you must fully buy into being present in every aspect of your life.” - Isiaah Clark '24, one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
"I love Boston College from the bottom of my heart and am so grateful for the years I have spent here, the friendships I have made, and everything the BC community has given me. While there is still much of my senior year left, I am already dreading leaving the place and the people I call my home. More than anything, I wanted to be a part of Homecoming Court to give back to my community in any way I can, to show my school pride, and to help instill the love and pride I feel for BC in my peers." - Audrey Frigon '24, one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
"I've worked in the Academic Advising Center for the past three years. Last year, Deviana [Smith] was a part of the Homecoming Court, and she was one of my biggest mentors. I think that that's what Boston College is all about. It's all about legacy and mentors. My mom is a Boston College Alumni. "The reason I applied for Homecoming Court was because of the ‘job description,’ so to speak. The Court are people who represent BC and the values they hold. I've always found that the mentorship and leadership at Boston College have grounded and centered me." - Victor Norman '24, one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
"The Homecoming Court gives me an opportunity to take my Boston College school spirit and spread it among the student body. Throughout my time at BC, I have grown more than I could have hoped, reflected more than I could have imagined, been encouraged by friends and faculty alike to try new things, and been supported when I needed it the most. It is truly an honor to be able to be a part of the court and share that love with the student body." - Jordan Nakash '24, one of the members of the 2023 Homecoming Court | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/Homecoming2023
"It's such a positive experience for students to work on something that isn't just a paper that only one person reads but that actually contributes to public knowledge and is out there and available, with their name on it. They can put it on their resume and I've had students tell me in the past that it's been something they've been able to talk about in job interviews—it's really meaningful and helpful to them.” - Marilynn Johnson, a Boston College History Department Professor who launched Global Boston, a digital research project covering the history of immigrant-owned restaurants in early 20th century Boston | READ MORE: https://on.bc.edu/ATasteofHistory
"One of the weirder things my sister and I did when we were little was playing 'tour guide,' showing imaginary college tour groups around our house and backyard. Fast forward just a few years, and I am the Tours Coordinator for the Boston College Admission's Student Admission Program. I match 100 tour guides (including my sister!) with the tens of thousands of yearly Boston College visitors. While tour guides do not have to lead imaginary groups around campus, they do have to imagine what guests want to listen to for an hour. BC tours are completely unscripted." - Fran Hodgens '24
