PHILIPPINES IMMERSION | Over the holidays our Year 11 students Bridget Campbell and Ainslie Thompson took part in the Good Samaritan Education Philippines Immersion.
Alongside 20 students from GSE schools, they worked with the Good Samaritan Sisters in Bacolod, on the island of Negros, supporting ministry areas at the Kinder School, Outreach Centre, and The Boulevard. They also partnered with the Sisters, the Balay Silangan Reformation Centre, and Alex Manlapao, founder of Project Abyan, to replant 2,500 mangrove seedlings helping restore coastal habitats and respond to the impacts of climate change.
The generosity, kindness and courage of our students is absolutely inspiring! Well done Bridget and Ainslie!
