HISTORY WEEK | Today our Year 8 students were in Sydney at the Royal Botanic Gardens exploring the impact of contact and colonisation on the Gadigal people and on the colonists. Working alongside an archaeologist and a historian, students are investigating primary sources at the very first site of European settlement in Australia. They are also deepening their understanding of Gadigal perspectives by learning about bushfood and bush medicine, highlighting the richness and value of Aboriginal ways of knowing. #HistoryWeek #GadigalCountry #AboriginalKnowledge #LearningBeyondTheClassroom

SUSTAINABILITY | Last Friday, St Mary’s was proud to attend the Edmond Rice College Sustainability Conference, where our students explored the vital role of bees, shared creative ideas for transforming backyards into urban food bowls, and even built an insect hotel to attract beneficial insects to our SMC gardens. Together, we’re growing a greener future! #SMSCCommunity #SustainabilityInAction #FutureChangemakers #LearningForLife
