LA DOLCE VITA | College was transported to sunny Sicily as students and staff embraced la dolce vita! The Bella Sicily food truck treated us to over 200 mouth-watering authentic wood-fired pizzas, freshly prepared by Danilo and his talented team. Prof Timpano set the perfect vibe with his long Italian lunch playlist, creating a festive atmosphere as we enjoyed our pizze al fresco. Students got into the spirit with some friendly games of bocce, adding a wonderful touch to a truly Italian experience. Grazie, Bella Sicily, Evviva l’Italiano! Evviva St Mary’s! 💚🤍❤️ #LaDolceVita #StMarysCollege #ItalianCulture #BellaSicily #Grazie #WoodFiredPizza

JAMBEROO ABBEY | Today, St Mary’s students and staff welcomed the Benedictine Sisters from Jamberoo Abbey to our College as part of the Jamberoo Abbey Community Appeal. The Sisters brought along their beautiful crafts, candles, and gifts, which were warmly received by our students and staff. Our students enthusiastically engaged with the Sisters, purchasing a wide range of items and showing incredible hospitality. As a College with a Good Samaritan Benedictine charism, we are deeply committed to supporting the Sisters and the important work of the Abbey. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a success through their generosity and support! #JamberooAbbey #BenedictineCharism #StMarysCommunity #SupportingGoodCauses

TENNIS | Our talented tennis team travelled to Traralgon, Victoria, last week to compete in the prestigious Gallipoli Youth Cup, facing fierce competition from colleges with specialised Tennis Coaching programs. Despite the tough opposition, our girls displayed exceptional skill and sportsmanship, making their opponents work for every point with long rallies and determined play. The week was challenging, with rain disrupting matches daily. Players had to squeegee courts and adapt to modified rules and game formats, with play often extending into late evenings. The team finished 5th in their pool and competed against Endeavour Sports High for minor placings. Saving their best for last, our girls triumphed in a thrilling matchup filled with exciting tie-breakers! Congratulations to our players for their outstanding effort and for being wonderful ambassadors for St Mary’s: ✨ Eugenie Canavan (Year 10) ✨ Caitlin Abela (Year 9) ✨ Evie Norris (Year 9) ✨ Liana Meta (Year 8) #StMarysStaroftheSea #GallipoliYouthCup #Tennis
