FRENCH CULTURAL EXCHANGE | On the 26th of April we welcomed with open arms and true Good Samaritan hospitality, 20 students and 3 teachers from our sister school in France, Cours St Charles, Orléans which is situated in the Loire Valley. Our visitors are having a fabulous time at the College with their host sisters and families. They have completely immersed themselves in life ‘Down Under’ and have tried lots of aussie food and absolutely love our Tim Tams and relaxed lifestyle. (They go to school from 8.10am – 6pm) Our students studying French have benefited from their presence at the College and have been able to engage in conversation and learn more about the lifestyle of French teenagers. It will be sad to see them go. Merci to the families that are hosting and for all the wonderful memories that are being created. The French students are walking around the College with very big smiles! #CulturalExchange #SisterSchools #BonjourDownUnder #CoursStCharles #SMC

FUTURES NOW | What an incredible day at Hassel Studios in Sydney for the UpRising Futures Now event during the holidays with some of our Year 12 Design and Technology students. Sophia Saveski, Zahli Poidevin, Lalitha Norris together with Ms Gallagher, Technologies Teacher had the unique opportunity to engage with industry professionals and gain invaluable insights into the future direction of the design industry. They got to hear from amazing speakers like Natalie McEvoy from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, Steve Baty from the Australian Design Council, Laura Harrison from IP Australia (Intellectual Property), Nila Rezael from the Industrial Design Exchange Sydney, and many more inspiring voices. The girls gained valuable knowledge from these experts and also received feedback on their Major Design Projects, helping them refine their ideas and skills. #DesignEducation #FutureOfDesign #IndustryInsights #DesignInspiration #SMC
