ARCHAEOLOGISTS FOR A DAY | Today, Year 11 Ancient history visited the Chau Chak Wing Museum at USYD to view the Nicholson collection of ancient artefacts. This included an opportunity to hold some objects from the ancient worlds of Egypt, Greece and Rome. Perhaps the highlight were 2 bronze swords from Minoan and Mycenaean Greece.

NETBALL | SMC had four teams compete in the local division of ‘The All Schools Cup’ on Wednesday, 10th May. All the teams used this opportunity to practice in their new combinations, getting ready for the upcoming Diocesan Carnival later in the term. As a bonus, both our junior teams and intermediate teams qualified for the next round of The All Schools Competition, The Regional Cup, held in August in Shoalhaven. Thank you to Mrs Vidal, Miss Thorne and Ms Kent who assisted on the day.

CHESS | Today St Mary's had the pleasure of hosting the second round of the NSW Junior Chess League competition. We welcomed players from Holy Spirit College. All students played admirably. We congratulate HSC on progressing to the next round.
