WHAT'S BEING A BARRISTER REALLY LIKE? | Our Legal Studies students were treated to an insightful presentation by Alumna, Courtney Ensor, Class of 2002, on the ins and outs of being a barrister. Courtney practises principally in corporate and commercial law, with a specialisation in tax law. She has a background in pure mathematics and generously shared her memories of her time at St Mary's and her journey to having her own practice for the past ten years. The students were totally engaged and asked many pertinent questions, especially when Courtney asked for a volunteer to don her barrister's gown and wig. Being an ex student of St Mary's, Courtney gave the students a vision of what was possible for them, making an imagined goal or dream more of a reality. We are grateful to Courtney for sharing her time and valuable advice and hope to see her and other alumnae return to the College to enthuse and mentor our current students.
