CELEBRATION CAKES | Year 10 Food Technology have been completing a using on ‘Food for Special Occasions’. For their assessment, students were required to design, produce and evaluate a special occasion cake for a celebration of their choosing. The students final cakes were outstanding with a number of different celebrations represented. A great effort from Year 10 Food Technology and a huge shout out to their outstanding teachers Mrs Newton, Mrs Keyte and Mrs Curren.

PARTNERS IN MISSION | Last week Tylah (Sullivan House Captain), and Tasmyn and Maddison (Social Justice Captains) attended a Zoom Immersion hosted by Good Samaritan Foundation. They were joined online by nine other Good Samaritan Colleges from across Australia. Sr Anne (Good Sam Sister) and the staff in Bacolod Philippines (Negros) shared with them the important work happening in the region. This included meeting the students and their mums from the Kinder school and the Outreach Food Program. A special video ‘ A Day in the Life’ was shared with the group and a highlight was meeting students from the tertiary scholarship program. Our Leaders were excellent ambassadors for the College, reading the prayer and asking questions in the Q & A. The group collaborated the best way to support them in the future. It was a wonderful experience to hear it from the Philippino staff and our girls loved meeting them too.
