A great tour! Went on this tour a few days ago (in Greek), €7 per person, very informative, the winery, vineyards, gardens, stables, herb garden, olive grove & the tower itself, then the wine tasting, a very enjoyable 2.5 hrs! Everyone was very helpful, willing to answer any questions & made sure we had a good experience:)

A must visit! Includes visit to the winery!! Probably the more interesting walk you can have inside this private property of the Environmental Awareness Park Antonis Tritsis. Totally recommended!

Unique, must see Guided tour of the privately owned winery, vinyards, stables and the 19th century "hunting pavillion" built for Queen Amalia of Greece, in the then owned property of "eptalofos", now the area Ilion. The building itself has been meticulously restored in its original condition, and is the only of its kind in Greece. It is a must see for anyone interested in history. Tours are arranged by the Pyrgos Vassilisis winery. You need to contact them to get a date of the next guided tour as these are still infrequent. The cost is 7euros per person, and the tour includes a session of wine tasting, of the wines produced (organically) locally. The wines are excellent, I highly recommend the Eptalofos 2011 cabernet sauvignon - merlot. The whole tour and wine tasting takes about 2.5 hours. Tips! This is a "sunny day" activity, and when visiting the Pavillion, yoh will need to take of your shoes as the flooring (which is a masterpiece) cannot be stepped on with shoes. Must see!

Guided Tour Built by Queen Amalia in the 18th century as a hunting pavilion, on 70 acres of land with fantastic gardens, stables, winery, a great place to visit.

Her majesty's farm. The landscape is rather dull and the unassuming buildings Queen Amalia had built for purely practical purposes (a lodge, stables, barn…) are of no particular architectural merit. What makes this place truly worth visiting is the two-facet guided tour, focusing on one hand on the history of the estate and on the other on the present-day vineyard and winery; 2 amazing, specialized guides offer the visitor a wealth of information. A wine tasting session is included in the price, still it irked me that the participation fee has gone up by 30% since last year (9€ in 2017-2018 from 7€ in 2016-2017). Bear in mind that the privately owned premises can only be visited by appointment.
