NEOLab has a long standing history in the orthodontic world - maybe even longer than you realize! Throughout our 45 years in the industry, we've come a long way. 1976 - January 1st, the inaugural day of New England Orthodontic Lab! 1979 - NEOLab secures its first building in Winchester, MA, and gains its first employee. As a regional laboratory, NEOLab serves primarily Massachusetts dentists and orthodontists. Bill splits his time between running the business, and bringing his expertise to all the appliances we make. 1987 - Our first buildout! This former home in Arlington, MA was secured in 1987, and underwent the transformation into an orthodontic laboratory. We made good use of spaces like the basement for plasterwork, old bedrooms for offices, and the kitchen for acrylic! Here the NEOLab team grew to 8 employeees. 1993 - We move to Woburn! In our second lab buildout, we converted the local town tannery into a fully-functional orthodontic laboratory. The original garage doors were exchanged for windows and workbenches, but the remaining pitched floors made rolling chairs even more fun! A dozen employees now call this 3,000 sq ft building their work home. 2001 - It's a new millenia, with a new important team member - Christian! After college, Christian joined the NEOLab team and began to learn all the ins and outs of the orthodontic world. While it would be a few more years before the title CEO, came into play, Christian was an important addition to the NEOLab family from the start. 2005 - We make the move into our biggest space yet to 5,000 square feet in Wilmington, MA with 20 employees. During the years Ballardvalle was our home, it received a custom build-out and an addition of another 5,000 square feet. 2013 - While still in Wilmington, we take one of our biggest risks yet - investing in 3D printing. As doctors were learning about the benefits of intraoral scanning, we were leading the orthodontic industry in the transition to digital.
