My experience with Eberstein & Witherite has been an absolute nightmare and now I understand why there are some people that would rather settle than deal with an attorney. I was in an auto accident on September 2nd 2016 on my way to pick up my daughter in which she lives in Houston so I drive there every week to pick her up. So I was rear ended on the Freeway by a woman who was texting and driving and it caused a 5 car total wreck in which my vehicle was the only vehicle that did not strike another vehicle. So you hear the commercials on the radio about how they are there to help , so I took the bait and gave them a call after my accident. I had a back injury, rib injury, and neck injury so they made it a point to send me to THEIR own personal chiropractic partner to start getting me rehabbing my injuries ASAP. So now at this point I still do not have a rental car so I had to call Eberstein & Witherite just to ask them the status on me getting a rental until my car is fixed due to them not calling me with any updates. Can you believe I was instructed to call the insurance company myself to get a rental and I did not receive a rental until Mid October .So I was assigned to Erica Mendoza and she was supposed to be the case manager, but never called to check on me or anything. Erica was one of the absolute worst because she would act like it was an issue when I would call which was rare, but when I would call asking for an update on the settlement since I was released from treatment in November 2016. So here recently I had to call again ( Notice they have not called me one time this is all my efforts) So I call and ask for the status of the case and Erica continued to blow me off and then I was told John would be taking on the case so days go by and I have not heard from . So he tells me that the insurance company offers a settlement of an amount that he did not agree with ( Which I still don't know what that amount is) So he states that he didn't agree with the settlement and he sent it back without even consulting me first. So I call John about two weeks later when I get back in town from working and ask him about the status and he completely forgot who I was! ( Wow so at this point I am like I guess I am just a number in their eyes since I didn't have a huge case or something) So he calls me the next day and tells me that my case has been given to another Law Firm Aaron Herbert in which I know nothing about nor have I been consulted on this. See I will fill everyone in on something these radio ads are meant to attract people by using propaganda like they actually care. This Law firm is only worried about getting that 30% and if that isn't something they can get then they treat people like a number. So right now it is almost been a year since my wreck and no progress and this is the trick they do in which I can't be mad because I am the one who reached out and asked for their help. However, they don't send an update on how much work they have done on this case so the agreement I have signed with them if I choose to opt out and say I am done with this case I now owe them ( Eberstein & Witherite), and I owe the Chiropractic company(Their Partner) because that is how they are set up. I can say this I would not recommend this Law Firm to anyone. Actually I would say this I am not a person that needs to be taken care of, I have a great career, I have college degrees, and a loving father. The last thing I am looking for is a handout because I have never needed one in life so Eberstein & Witherite's service to me has been terrible and I was treated like a number. I hope anyone who reads this knows this is the truth and it isn't a biased review, these are just facts. I wish there was an option for zero stars because that is what my experience has been and what they deserve.
