I called them early in the afternoon with a tankless water heater leaking. I was told on the call that they work with Rinnai for warranty claims, which they do! I was curious about call-out pricing and asked that directly on the call. The rep said I would be told a total price once the tech arrived and found out what needed to be done.
Once the tech arrived, he asked a few questions about maintenance and issues I'm having. Once that was over, he said it would be $280 for him to get started. The exact opposite of what the rep said on the phone.
He pulled up the call recording (recordings not disclosed on the call) and played it. He stopped at the part where the phone rep said "Rinnai will sometimes cover parts". He did not keep playing to the part where the rep said I would get a total cost.
I am completely fine with paying for labor and being reimbursed by Rinnai, since it's covered by 5 years limited parts and labor when you register within 90 days of install. But the bait and switch was not appreciated.
I would never recommend these guys. They contradict their website "No surprise costs at the end of the job". As a flat rate plumber, you provide an up front estimate. Not a starting point.
