Basement Builders was excellent. Their quote was competitive. They were very responsive to my inquiries, requests and concerns. Despite a set back of a week, that was not in their control, they finished the project on time.

We had a great experience working with Basement Builders, and would absolutely work with them again. Our basement project was pretty big - approximately 1800 sqft, and they executed on time and on budget. When we were planning the project, we were considering GCing it ourselves, and I'm so glad we didn't because Basement Builders made the whole process so much easier, less stressful, and it was done much quicker.
I would consider us more challenging clients, because we had high expectations and we were perhaps more involved in the project than some other clients because we had been through a few other renovation projects. We worked with Mathew (owner) directly on several items, and he always demonstrated flexibility where he could, made sure to make us feel heard and prioritized making sure we were happy and satisfied with the work. Our PMs Murray and Ryan were always responsive and Kristina (designer) was so thoughtful and great to work with. She did a great job trying to balance decisions with aesthetic and cost. It is very apparent that they have built a culture at their business with great people who definitely care about customer satisfaction.
Their trades teams were also great - great to work with and did excellent work. The execution of the trades work truly reflects a great working relationship with between the trades and Basement Builders.
We have had a couple of very minor warranty things to address since finishing the project, and basement builders has been incredibly responsive, with the trades being at our place the next day to fix things up.
We have worked with a lot of different trades and companies over the years with a few projects here in Calgary, and I can honestly say Basement Builders has been the best so far.

I have nothing but good things to say about Basement Builders. My basement development project was delivered on time and on budget, and the finished product met all of my expectations. Basement Builders provided me with a detailed plan and information about the materials to be used and the work to be completed. Without exception, all of the tradespeople were very respectful of my property and their work was first-class. Their work was closely supervised, and I was constantly informed of the work schedules of the tradespeople. The interior designer was also very helpful in selecting colors, materials and accessories. All in all, I was extremely satisfied with Basement Builders, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone wishing to develop their basement.

We were very fortunate to have Basement Builders agree to help us re-imagine and re-build our poorly renovated basement. Before Basement Builders worked on our basement, our basement was what is delightfully called a "homeowner's special" with terrifying pre-existing electrical work, door frames that were not square, and inefficient placement of Hvac heat and cold vents, amongst a mess of other issues. Basement builders gutted the basement to bring everything to code, and then build up from the studs.
While we ran into a few bumps, the issues were dealt with promptly when time was of the essence, and within a reasonable time frame when the issues could wait. I think it's very important to point out here that things will go wrong in every renovation. The measure of how good a company is whether or not they stand by their work. Basement Builders stands by their work. These are great people who are willing to go above and beyond to ensure their work is done well.
Our family home has been an ongoing fixer upper since we moved in a decade ago. We believe in getting things done right the first time to avoid issues later. Basement Builders is a fantastic company that treated our home with the attention and care they would treat their own with. My husband and I both work in the home most of the time, and the respect each trade who came through had for our space was incredible. Everyone was very friendly, professional, quiet and clean.
We are so pleased with our new space. It was a pleasure working with everyone on the team who all had unique skills that helped to bring out the absolute best in our limited space. Thank you so much for your hard work, patience, and perseverance!

We could not be happier with Basement Builders. Not only was the build quality way above expectations, the project Manager (Ryan Reinhardt) was exceptional with customer service. If you send Ryan a note on anything, he would answer in less then half an hour and resolve any question we had. Would highly recommend Basement Builders for your next project !

If you are thinking of developing your basement, I highly recommend basement builders. I retained Basement Builders to develop my unfinished basement into a legal suite. The process started by them meeting with me at the house to take measurements to design a layout. The representative essentially designed a floor plan on the spot and sent it later in the day for review. They took care of everything, project management, permitting, and schedules. They even have a design consultant who helped with picking finishings. All in all, I am very happy with the process and the final product my basement suite. They also made it very easy for me to apply for the City of Calgary grant by providing me with all the necessary information required. 5 out of 5 stars.
