My girlfriend and I treated ourselves to lunch at True Food today. We were served by Brandon W., who was fantastic, very friendly, down to earth and knowledgeable of the menu. Overall we had a great time. Time, care and thought had obviously been placed into creating the menu, and the food was delicious! My girlfriend and I are primarily vegetarian (we like and eat meat, although infrequently), so its always great to go to a restaurant that isn't constricted to meat based dishes; vegetarian and vegan options take centre stage and in my opinion outshine many of the meat dishes. Even if you are omnivore then I would recommend you to take the opportunity to try something new, although the meat dishes looked very good!
Price wise, we may have been getting lunch prices, but they were very reasonable. Expect to pay a little extra since all the ingredients are carefully sourced. We paid ~13 for sandwiches, which is about right for many Scottsdale restaurants.
One extra which I have never seen before (may be the way we order), is that my girlfriend and I often share our dishes so we can try new things. Brandon asked if we planned to do this, and the food actually arrived pre-split (half of each order on seperate plates). Definitely not expected, but was a nice added touch which we really appreciated it.
