Clever Accounts have been amazing and have looked after all my accounting needs since the 6th December 2013 right up to the present day August 2020. They provide an online portal so you can access all of your transactions and process wages, expenses and dividends very easily. Always very responsive and great to work with. I’ve been with Clever Accounts for about 10 months now and so far so good.
I started freelancing last year for the first time, and didn’t know much about running my finances and keeping them in order. luckily my accountant is always patient with my endless queries and if he isn’t available, I usually get a call back with a simple and accurate response. Their monthly fee is cost effective compared with other services out there, and what you get in return.
I keep my invoices and expenses updated and they take care of the rest.
I would definitely recommend the service.

I was referred to clever accounts by a friend of mine. It was the first time in setting up a LTD company and going self employed. So I didn’t really have a clue, Kabir my accountant their has been spot on. Took me through the lot from start to finish. What I can and can’t claim, VAT registered, corp tax ect ect anything you need to know they will help you. Highly recommend and you get the benefits of your own portal. What dividends are available. What tax you owe and your expenses all tallied you in front of you. If you want ease or to keep track of what’s going on digitally then I’d say enquire and see what you think. Makes things loads easier when it’s all in front of you.

Horrendous experience. I used clever accounts once before which was a ok experience but this time has not gone well. Banking feed bugs, been told i have taken up to much of accountants time, poor guidence on portal. Repeatldly asked then for help for upload of transactions due to error only to be told numerous times do it yourself after explaining of the bug in there portal. Poor form Clever Accounts, telling a customer they are taking to much of your time is not a how you should do business. Im now in a precaroius position with late tax return filing.
Update:After some guidance and training my accounts have all been submited taxes paid. Take time to learn the portal if joining, this will make the experience easy.
