I returned home from office to find my father complaining of stomach pain and to my surprise he had turned yellow. We hadn’t noticed it the previous day and I rushed him to Pace Hospitals. He was immediately attended by Dr. Somnath and diagnosed him with CBD which was restricting the flow of bile , which in turn resulted in the rise of bilirubin causing obstructive jaundice. He was admitted immediately and within 48 hours, ERCP was performed successfully wherein almost 30 stones were removed from the bile duct. That provided to be the turning point for his recovery. Even then it was imperative for the bilirubin to decrease to perform the gall bladder surgery. To fast track the proces, Dr. Govind Varma put a stent in his track and miraculously the bilirubin went down to a level where the operation could be performed. After successfully performing the laparoscopy, he was released in the next 48 hours. Things could have taken a serious turn had the panel of doctors(Dr. Somnath, Dr. Govind, Dr Phani Krishna and Dr. Suresh) had not diagonised and treated with this efficacy. The entire thing could have been prevented had we come here earlier. I urge everyone with any problem, not to neglect it and come here.
