I was recently referred to Midwest One Clinic (Dr Doran) by my pain management physician to review my recent MRI & advise as to the ongoing direction for my care plan. I was seen by Dr Doran as well as his PA Julie and given an exam and we discussed my pain and management and ongoing care plan. I was very happy with the level of care I received and Julie, Dr Doran and all of the staff were extremely professional & caring.

With the exception of the patient registrar I would rate the visit a 10. Dr Otterberg was cordial and professional, as usual and I was in and out in an efficient amount of time.
I had to greet the registrar who did not even look up at me and was very robotic in her manner as if she were too busy to bother with me.
I would rate her a 3 and that's generous. I was a registrar before I retired and I would never treat a patient as she did.

Dr Otterberg and his nurse Jill are the BEST that I have encountered in a long time !
I love that Dr Otterberg focuses on the actual healing and what’s best for the patient, and that he takes time to explains things, and most importantly he doesn’t make you feel like you’re another number ! GREAT JOB !!

I live in the Des Moines area and would come to MD I WEST FARNUM CLINIC WEST ONE any day of the week for an appt. It is worth the trip! The medical service is superb - all the way from the receptionist, schedulers nurses and doctors. I am so very much impressed with their authenticity, graciousness and caring. For extraordinary care, it is the place to go!! - not kidding- no brag, just the facts!!

Saw Dr McMullen today. I feel so fortunate to have him as a doctor and his PA Kathy. They were both very kind and able to explain why I'm in so much pain. I am so thankful for their patience with me. They gave me suggestions on relieving the pain and said to report back if no relief.

My second visit with Dr O’Malley today. Again, friendly, knowledgeable staff and ever so timely. X-ray and MRI staff, front desk, all. Dr O’ Malley takes time to answer questions And makes one feel very comfortable.

I had lumber spine fusion surgery by Dr Doran at Midwest Surgical Hospital. Dr Doran is a very competent and compassionate Doctor. The stay at the hospital was great. I felt so cared for! The nurses were absolutely top notch. They have a chef that prepares very tasty food.
If you need Neuro- surgery, you can’t go wrong with the people at MD West One and Dr Doran.
