In May 2018 we first purchased a Toja Pergola Kit with 10'x10' Shade Sail. We assembled it with cedar 4x4 timber on the deck and, since then, it has given us excellent service and is exactly what we hoped it would be. Every fall, we took down the Shade Sail and stored it until spring.
Last year (2023) we noticed that the attachments on the on the Shade Sail were coming unstitched due to the thread disintegrating. We think that this is totally acceptable, considering its age, so decided to replace it. We also found that to have it repaired by a local sail-maker would cost nearly as much as buying a new one. We plan to re-use the defunct Shade Sail for various other purposes in our garden as the material is still in fine condition.
So the bottom line is that we are very happy with our Toja Kit and have absolutely no complaints about having to replace the Shade Sail.
