UPDATED REVIEW:
Sadly this review remains at 1 star as despite many email exchanges with Goddard over the last 6 weeks my complaint has not been resolved to a satisfactory conclusion, nor have I received a proper apology for the 3 experiences that acknowledges every issue we had. I am moving my pet to another vets in the area. Everything I have said below stands - I implore you if you are bringing your animal here to ensure you are clearly informed about treatment, side effects, recovery time from staff and that if you are not sure about something and the answer has not been good enough, then feel empowered to find another vet if you can. Something has clearly changed at this practice in the last 3 years, as our experience in 2024 was not the case previously - as I said our cat used to enjoy coming here and now she is terrified to go in or near her carrier, which she used to sleep in.
Original review:
I have recently had 3 shoddy experiences at Goddards Walthamstow. If I could give a 0 at this stage I would. A shame as our cat has loved coming here previously. I have emailed the practice directly and head office and am awaiting feedback on the current issues. If this is resolved satisfactorily I will update this review but at the moment I am will be looking in to changing vet ASAP.
My advice to anyone coming here is to please please ask questions about procedures done on your pets before you commit to booking them in and ensure you are crystal clear about what is being done, why it is needed and what the benefit is for your pet. the costs here are not cheap as it is.
On our last two visits we arrived on time to our appointments and were left waiting 30 mins and 45 minutes respectively before someone saw us, and on both those times consult rooms were not available, so we had to do one in reception and one in the staff room after I put my foot down. Not great when you've got a stressed animal with you.
