Interesting how my poor reviews are deleted.... (originally posted 6/18) stay far away from this business.
UPDATED:::
Unprofessional is being generous. I am truly disturbed by the behavior Mr. Mariani has displayed. I feel everyone really needs to be aware to of this “business”.
I wrote a negative google review (below 6/17/20) regarding my awful experience with Mr. Mariani. To clarify, in his response to my review; my request was to merge 2 career fields into one resume. It was recommended I needed 1 resume ($199), not several, and 3 cover letters ($99 each). He offered $100 off if I paid in full right now. As far as my hesitation... the entire phone conversation (right up to the point he hung up on me) lasted a total of 8 minutes! I’m sorry, I needed a bit more then >8 minutes before I committed hundreds of dollars.
The disturbing part, after I posted my review, not even 20mins later, Mr. Mariani called me from a different number and threatened to sue me for slander if I did not remove my google review “within one hour and not a minute more.” He then sent me SEVERAL emails and text messages demanding I remove the review, threatening “aggressive” legal action against me, that he was going to sue me for slander, as well as threats to leave reviews about me at my place of employment.
My review is 100% my awful experience with this man and I stand by everything I have written. Unfortunately I cannot add photos to this review. There is countless complaints similar to mine on the BBB website (and yelp). PLEASE PLEASE use caution before utilizing this business and disclosing your personal information.
ORIGINAL REVIEW::: EXTRMELY unprofessional and rude!! I reached out to Resumes Etc for a consultation. I scheduled a phone appointment with Fred for 3p that day. Fred called me at 1:45p.. We discussed his ideas and he gave me a quote of $500 for everything recommended. After asking how I liked to pay I requested to call him back (he already called earlier then we had agreed). I don’t like to make impulsive decisions, especially those including a larger amount of money (and not being provided a contract or written agreement.) Immediately Fred became annoyed and told me he Is the busiest company on the east coast “didn’t have time for think about it’s.” Basically I either paid him now or move on. I explained I had been shopping around and I liked his ideas but just needed an hour or so to think about it. The high pressure tactic was an extreme turn off. Fred proceeded to tell me not to bother Calling him back, to just call someone else and then hung up the phone on me. I’m appalled at how extremely unprofessional he has. Don’t even waste your time with this company. You’re better off avoiding this company and working with someone who actually values all their customers and customer service.
